As beautiful as your friend’s chateau is, it can’t beat the charm and style of Lalande. Now I see why you are enamored of the beauty of wall paper as it makes such a difference in what it brings and adds to your amazing chateau!
I can not tell you how much joy your blog has brought me. I stumbled across it on Christmas Eve 2019, it reminds me so much of the wonderful time my late husband and I has for 48 years. So many kitchen dance party's, so much joy and happiness , I Love you all, thank you, I am now almost 70. Again thank you.
Thats really neat to see a modern flat within the chateau. I had seen in the US an older chateau like home converted to condos. They did a nice job and kept the integrity of its age with design but the suites were updated. Thats be so cool living in part of an older chateau or stately home.
I just saw it and was going to say the same thing. The Cockatoo’s and Galahs are actually a pest where we are they eat everything in sight. The Kingfisher’s and Kookaburras are beautiful I love seeing them. Usually when you hear the Kookaburras laugh it means rain is on the way. 😊💜
Your costumes were fabulous Looks like most of the other guests didn’t buy into dressing up. Your Chateau outdoes every other one I’ve seen while watching your channel. Your mix of old and new and special fun style shine above all others. Just beautiful. The honey 🍯 tasting looked so delicious 😋 that you could definitely make that into a Chateau experience for guest.
Wonderful! What a life full of little adventures of restorations,, trips through villages and beautiful countryside, dressing up in historical and cultural costumes, wonderful celebrations and glorious bounties of the land of milk and honey. My honey is just plain clover honey from Canadian bees! I can imagine that your honey must have some really interesting flavors! Till next time!
I have now done a four day Chateau Diary 📔 binge fest & I am happily exhausted but all worth it! Learnt so many things, danced in my head, headed to the frig every time you guys would eat & rearranged my house as renovations were done at the Chateau, LOL Stephanie thank you for your beauty & grace, knowledge & talents! This was my favourite TH-cam series!❤️🇨🇦
Currently seeing a repeat of Escape to the Chateau DIY where you're just revealed the flat you're renovated to yours mum. Lovely. Loved you're mother's reaction😊. Can't wait to see Michael's now.
You need my daughter who is a costumier, was for the Australian Ballet, to organise that dress up box! Beautiful party. We too have our own bees. 🐝 Yummy honey. How is hedgehog 🦔?
Great fun! Oh la la the honey looks and sounds wonderful, my mouth was watering. The marble is gorgeous, amazing that it has come from so far away and arrived undamaged. Your Mum will be excited to see hers as well. Hope you feel better soon, warm honey is good for a poorly throat, really hoping you haven’t caught one of the horrible flus I’ve seen people talking about. Sending get well wishes🥰🙋🏼
How exciting to have your own reservation system working! And the honeys looked so scrumptious--I wish you sold them online. It would be fun to have a little sample pack with a bit of each in its own jar with the LaLande label. You need to have lots of hot tea and honey for your cold. Feel better soon! 🙏🏻💗🏰💗🙏🏻
Looks fabulous. lot of work being done lately. im not sure these 15 minute videos once a week will suffice though. I may need to have you start a mon-fri 1 hour show Stephanie.
I really enjoyed this video! But then again I always enjoy Stephanie’s videos, this was lots of fun this one. I have got to try gin, they are always drinking it!!
THANKYOU! what a treat! I love all of it! Especially the honey! YUM! I was salivating! When I come I will bring you my favourite Orange Blossom, Mallee Tree Honey and some others to try from South Australia.. Thankyou. Really loved this one! xo Hello to Michael xo
Love both the marbles Stephanie, Michaels kitchen will be amazing can’t wait to see it finished...oh to spend a week at the Chateau......maybe.......see you soon .......Donna in Toronto
What a lovely vlog. You have given me the biggest smile this evening. How wonderful to have your own honey and to be able to visit gorgeous chateaus. The villages on route are breath taking also. We can not wait to return to France. Have a fantastic week x x
Some more honey and tlc to feel better Stephanie 🍯🐝🌻. Loved the outfits for the party - oh and your shoes 👠👌💋 fabulous. Love the marble in Michael's kitchen - can't wait to see the big reveal. Thank you as always💛. Beautiful blessings Mandy 👑SA
OMGosh! Being a new viewer, I honestly thought Michael and you were a couple until you showed his flat at the chateaux. You guys make such a lovely couple.🤞🏻
We were together for 10 years many eons ago, which is why we can practically finish each other's sentences! But we always remained best friends and joint chateau owners!
@@TheChateauDiaries : Way to go Stephanie. Good to stay friends and do things together. Don't know why there should be bitterness its not worth the effort. I do enjoy seeing you both together though even if you are not together as a couple.
OMGOSH, You were a couple for 10 years??!! And then NOTHING except " Just friends"? That just blows my mind! Sorry, I guess relationships are different in another Country. WOW, just... WOW! Sorry! I can't wrap my head around being just friends after all the effort of you being a couple and then NOTHING.
imagine carrying this marble up all those stairs. close quarters turns etc. wow Love the outfit and your hair like that. And ''really nice'' wallpaper. and isnt the room known as tack room room.
Congratulations Michael your apartment looks lovely, enjoy. As always a beautiful vlog I had to start the episodes from the start after the Advent calendar was over , poor me. See you Sunday.
Your Christmas cake, sounds so delicious. Have you ever thought of selling it at Christmas time and sending it out worldwide. If Betty's can do it, so could you. You, Steph, are a lovely flower. You have kept me smiling and laughing during this covid -19 plague. Ooooo and ***** across a million miles.
Hope your voice is getting better, how exciting the next one will be 100, congratulations, thank you so very much for sharing your amazing life and chateau with us, take care from 🇦🇺 xo
Ah Stephanie, you must have come almost past my house on the way to Erin’s. You could have dropped in and taste tested our honey !! Total all consuming marble envy ! Where is my credit card !! Michael’s kitchen looks great. Definitely going to try that Casablanca cocktail. Hope you stay well, at least you have plenty of honey for a hot drink for your throat. Xxxx
love you all, wish i could join you there, fortune to go to Europe from BC Canada and then the stay, and of course one would need to be there for a nice long stay, having gone such a distance....also love to dress up, you are living a wonderful life...
Loved what I saw so far of Michael's kitchen. By the way you both looked great in your costumes. Michael looked regal as Louis 1V. As you both like gin you should if you get the chance try our Local Australian "Four Pillars Gin" which has at the moment four combinations. I like all of them but my preference is "Bloody & Lemon" and I am sure you would like it as well but there is a great one "Navy Strength Ginger Mule" which I am sure Michael will enjoy. It is available they tell me in the UK. So you should try them. The Christmas Gin is fantastic too. Let me know what you think when you have had a chance to sample them. Thank you for a great blog, until next time.
@@TheChateauDiaries : By the way that is only our summer collection as we are in summer but there is a Shiraz one that you must absolutely try if you like Shiraz. You must visit Australia and try our craft gins as as well as beers not to forget our great wines well I love French wines which are my favourite but Australia has some great wines which I am sure you will enjoy.Dont forget to look us all up here and if we know when you are going to be here let me know and you can come and visit.
Oh my gosh!!! I love those fabragé plates with the ribbon design!!!! I have only one but it’s blue and white. Those are so hard to find. I don’t even know the design name to find more. Do you know? I hope you see this comment. 🙏❤️
O my I didn't know you had a partner he is very handsome you and him should totally get back together I'm fairly new but I love binge watching all your shows I'm on my second go round lol
He WAS her boyfriend. They are now just good friends and he is one of the co owners. He has a new partner Ruth who is a writer and you will see her on some of the vlogs.
captions mispell the name of this chateaux you visited. I need the name of it. I love your kitchen stephanie but love love that fireplace one dreams of in the fairy tales... and that attic as well. cant wait to see it done...
7 months for a marble delivery? I guess that's why I can't leave in Europe anymore. If it takes more than a week here, the clients get apoplectic! It is so interesting to see the difference in modern decoration style from one continent to the other.
It was insane! Serves me right for ordering the marble for France through a UK company from a quarry in Portugal 😂But better late than never! Owning a chateau has forced me to learn patience!
So nice to see you two enjoying winter ... what is the temperature there? we here in Canada have 4 inches of snow and icy cold ...love your mom's marble top just .gorgeous
Superb, I was going to have a BAndB...I got the silver( 12 settings( chargers, fruit bowls, small bowls...sideboard pieces...candelabra...etc..I don't use it....would you like it?
I LOVE HONEY, I've got the best Lavender Honey ever!!!!! Wherever my Mother has gone in the world, she always brings me back honey, I had honey from The Vatican, and I ate honey prayed over by the Pope!!!!
Hay guys I LOVE the marble for the kitchens BUT I was a little horrified to learn of your intention to rent out your flat when you are not in residence. PLEASE PLEASE can I ask you to consider adding a glass protection over the marble? It is very porous and a slice of lemon, a red wine spill, most ANYTHING will ruin that amazing beautiful worktop. Granite is a much more durable stone for kitchens, though I am confident you know this, marble is beautiful and very tactile but it will not stand the test of time, especially as 'paying guests' do not tend to have the respect for your belongings as do you xxx BUT I LOVE IT xxxxx

Small tip: Try using a wooden or plastic spoon for the honey. Metal spoons kill the natural enzymes.
You both work so well together. Long live your deep friendship and the rebirth of your castle ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅

I can't wait to see Micheal's apartment when it's finished! Looks amazing so far!
And Michael should not wearing a Girls cardigan 😂 SORRY
The birds on the magnets are actually: Kingfisher, Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Kookaburra and Galah.
I am Australian and most of them live in my area.

You need a thick string wet mop to clean the floor of your wood oven before you cook directly on it , like pizza.
That Baked Alaska was Splendid.... love to you all

A pool at a chateaux holiday is a great idea.
I agree, I'd love to make one here at Lalande one day!
Love this video Stephanie!! And I love your Amber! And your gorgeous shoes!! ❤️

Vente de miel., pas cher, produit de lalande. I can see some more bedrooms being updated sooner than you thought ! 😋

She made it sound like a small operation. The keeper uses her land in exchange for x kilos per year. It has to be local.
