Audrey showed a lot of maturity by leaving that Buffalo Airways one way street leading to nowhere. And that is exactly what lot of the young, passionate wannabe pilots lack: maturity including not grasping how they are ruthlessly being exploited and abused in this chaotic improvisation pretending to be a properly managed aviation company. RIP Arnie and Kelly.
The DC-3 was designed to be able to land with the gear up if necessary - that's why the tires stick out of the bottom of the engine fairings. It will cost a couple props and maybe the engines, but can be done.

Hydraulics are tricky to diagnose because everything is hidden from view. The fault sound like an internal-internal leak, i.e. a valve that's supposed to block flow from one connection to another, but it doesn't, either due to defective seal on a bobbin, or a damged seat, or it does not actuate correctly. One way to locate such a faliure is to touch the valves. If one is hot, it's leaking internally through a restricted oraface, the friction causing heat, depends on the working pressure and viscosity.
Seem to recall a couple of episodes back that a pilot reamed a newish copilot an new one because the copilot had supposedly not gotten the gear lever fully into the neutral position after lowering the gear, causing a pressure drop and failure to lock the gear, corrected before landing. Any chance that it was the same plane and problem, and blame thrown in the wrong direction?
I doubt any of the large commercial flyers could have disembarked the passengers, unloaded the luggage, deiced a plane, loaded the luggage and re borded the passangers in anything under 2 hours. Joe should be proud of the team he has.
He said the engine failed & was shut down so they chose to change planes instead. It was ready this time not like 4 years ago when the spare was frozen.
It's called "stiff legging it" when you fly an aircraft with the landing gear down and locked and the landing gear pins installed. The only way the video here brings up a problem with the pins installed on landing was just for the shows producer's having to want much more "dramatics"!
I'm from Texas but my family is from the northeast of the United States of America. I've been in negative 40゚ weather before. I have a thyroid disorder that makes me overheat easily, so I was quite comfortable in my ski outfit because I went skiing. I work in a negative negative 35゚ freezer at work. I forget to bring my jacket every time and my arms are always wet and then the moisture on my skin freezes immediately. I should come more prepared for now on and forever. I got trapped in there and if I didn't start exercising even I could have frozen it could have frozen to death. Sadly, there's so siren to alarm a lock in. 🔐 🤷🏻♀️🥶☃️
Bit confused here. They look at oil on the cowling and decide the donk needs to come off for overhaul. How do they know it not just and oil line that’s come loose, or something?
Its speacial aircraft hydraulic fluid. Its called mil-h-5606. I have heard of people using atf but your not supposed to. It smells totally different to atf aswell
Chuck Adams is the human version of Bender. What a guy/machine/super hero😀
😂😂😂
Amazing to see the change in Audrey. She has a very different demeanor this season
Chuck Adams always comes to the rescue... A keen follower from Zambia...
Devon is tapping Audrey lol. I love how Justin keeps Arnies memory alive with the "Right on Saigon" call.
Good for him. I've been hoping they would show her all dolled up, I'll bet she's a hottie.
She seems to know what feels good!
What happened to Audrey? Does she fly these days?
It was good to see Audrey again. She seems to have matured a lot. Not so green. Hope to see more of her.
This was filmed in 2013 and she has grown heaps and could be a model. Very sexy chick that all the other pilots want to ride

Getting poked on the farm will do that to a girl
@jschoofs sounds like you have bad experience with Buffalo Airways??
Chuck is my favourite human in that tv show!
Nice episode of ice pilots
Great bunch of guys

Hang on to yer hats, Boys!
You have to admire a man that divides his time, not into hours, minutes or seconds like us peasants..... But into Simpsons episodes. What a guy

Instead he lets his temper do the directing around there. And chases people off.

Joe did praise the crew this time. They learned.
I'm wondering when there will be update on the 737 they bought months ago!
If they don’t want to come out, lay them off is a comment that breaks all WH&S Laws one would think.
People are getting soft and the rules have changed to accommodate the soft. Go back to the old days and get rid, if they can’t be arsed to work.
I'm not even going to chatter much past depending on a independant GPS. BOY... Can't believe anyone ever landed a plane in WW2.
Why can't they use working equipment? No drama , and water pipes open under your house in Canada???
They aren't open..they are covered with insulation and heat tape

They have some serious issues with landing gear.
There’s a DC3 for sale in Melbourne Australia

I worked in the heat a FLL. I worked in the cold at ROC. It's work.
Do they use ATF in their aircraft hydraulic systems or is it some kind of special aviation grade hydraulic fluid with red dye?
