I did the worst ever Super Mario 64 0 Star Speedrun and I couldn't be happier about it

From a stream of mine where I attempted one of Super Mario 64's most difficult categories: 0 Star. This Super Mario 64 Speedrun requires the use of Backwards Longjumps to gain incredible amounts of speed in certain areas of the game to skip nearly everything! I went into this run having done a 1 star run previously but never had done the insanely hard "DDD skip". Here's how it went! - เกม

And 1 year later in the world of Minecraft speedrunning; Benex got WR in the all bosses category in a run where he had to stop and watch a tutorial lmao. He was originally just doing a regular random seed glitchless run, but killed 2 Wither Skeletons who were attacking him in the Nether and both dropped Wither Skulls. The drop rate on those is 2.5% and you need 3 of them to summon one of the bosses, so he said fuck it and switched category because it was such absurd luck. It's not unusual for it to take over an hour to get the first 2 Wither Skulls and he got 2 within 10 minutes without even trying for them.
So how do perform a BLJ?

@@VaasMontenegro12 he is on the leaderboard with other runners and not with the tas. Rta and tas are never on the same leaderboard.

It's actually not possible. The 3rd Bowser/2nd Floor is only loaded if you activate the door transition.

8:10 you don't need to sling him miles away, just gently throw him towards the mines. If it's not close enough, just pick him up again. It's really unnecessarily difficult to throw him at Max speed

So uh.. if you pay attention to 1:18, he managed to BLJ into the entrance to the upstairs without the fire sea key.
but that area isn’t fully loaded, it only fully loads when you do the opening door animation.

Honestly, that sounds like it'd be a lot of fun. Just trying every possible wacky speedrun strat - not to the point of getting godlike at it, not freaking out about doing it quickly, just being able to say "yep, I did that."

Opening the door is what loads the area. You can clip past the door, but there's nothing there unless you open it like usual
