Can't belive such simple things are achieved in such absolutely not user friendly envirement, 90's design app and idea. 2023 and still such solutions from MS. Unbelivable for me. Zero pleasure to work in such enviroment. Filtering a year with 1000 complicated steps. Unbelivable. By the way - there are filter for paginated report in Power BI service. At the end - thank You, it helped me a lot
Hi @Wzxxx, we understand your frustration with the user interface and design of Power BI Service. Hopefully this is something that they can improve real soon. Thanks for the tip on the filter for paginated reports. We're glad our content has at least been of help!

Thanks and maximum how many records we can control per page by using page break and also when we export to excel it shows multiple sheets but I need to show only single page with page break option.
The early stages of product integration, but better than nothing. BTW I have some key info in my Power BI report that is the visualisation totals displayed on-screen. They are obviously dependent on various factors in the data they focus on. Is there any way of bringing that data across into Report Builder?
And we can use Filters now also when building in Power BI service, but if edit in Power BI Report Builder, the filters are hard coded into the dataset.
Thanks for the video. How can we use a row level security based on the User ID/email in the paginated report? I am using [Email] = Username() for the RLS.
Hi @ahv5457, It's a bit difficult to assess and give recommendation without looking at the data structure, model and working of the PBIX file for the reference. You can reach out to us on our Community Forum by providing a detailed description of your query along with relevant files for reference. Our members and team of Experts will be happy to help out! Hi, thanks for the nice video. I want to create a paginated report with 4 parameters. In that 1st two are date range and 3rd is by product name and 4th is product code. The trick is 1st two parameters are mandatory and (3rd and 4th are optional). This means I have to specify (parameters 1, 2 & 3) OR (parameters 1,2 & 4). Could you please explain how to do it. (Note: I am using a view as DS and not a procedure). - Thanks in advance
Nice step-by-step to create a paginated report. But the process as a whole seems kind of clunky. Seems like there's opportunity for them to make the process easier.

Nicely done! The CC interprets "Tablix" as "tablets". Fortunately, you pointed to the Tablix tab once, which cleared up your meaning. ☑

Hi Donald, that's right! This is an important consideration to keep in mind when deciding which tool to use for building and editing reports.
Thanks for the video. How can we use a row level security based on the User ID/email in the paginated report? I am using [Email] = Username() for the RLS.
