- We tried wheels made of WOOD on a REAL car and tried to drive it and did some BURNOUTS!
Those wheels probably would look great on a buggy, but we put them on a regular car! Check this out! Amazing satisfying experiment!

Making them out of plywood would probably be more effective. Adding fiberglass between layers might help too.

Not only you made the tires too thin but also you should have made them out of plywood.
If normal wood is weakeed in the direction of grow it's done. Plywood on the other hand was good enough to make airpanes before metal-plastic times...
