I honestly am not that good 😂. I love Catalyst, though! She is so much fun to play! I have a quick question: could you make a tips and tricks video for specific devices? Example: Nintendo Switch, or PC
My best advice for a new player is get uset to dying alot, don't worry about your kd, and don't get discouraged. Set yourself small goals and atleast get familiar with 3 legends in case yours get taken. Once you stop worrying about getting better so much, that's when you start to improve.
Yeah. I just downloaded it because my dad plays it a lot and I wanted to have something special with him. He's platinum lol and I've been binge watching these videos trying to learn
Priceless! I'm a 50 year old who's 7 year old has been desperate to play together on Apex. This helps my old bones - yes, I will be cannon fodder, and PROUD! lol. Subbed.
dont worry about reaction times or not having the best aim, just play support character like gibraltar or newcastle to support from the back and keep the team in the fight while providing cover fire. Marksman weapon and a Good old shotgun is all that you'll need
Other things to keep in mind! 60-40 rule: Keep 60 percent of your body covered when peaking to reduce your chances of getting beamed by not being overexposed! 30-45 fighting: Fights should be kept within 30-45 seconds so you can reduce the chances of getting 3rd partied or so you're nearly ready for the 3rd party! Awesome video Tim! Keep up the great work!
As a long time player, I can add a few tips here. During close range fights, try not to only ADS when in a fight. It makes you move more slowly and limits your vision. Hipfire is very useful with most weapons except the snipers. Also, try not to peak from the same spot more than once or twice during a fight. Most people will start pre-aiming that spot and wait for you to do it again. Try to reposition often as it'll keep your opponents guessing. If the enemy cannot predict your next move, then you're in control of the fight and not them. My last tip is related to this as well, always making intentional decisions. You have to make a plan and go for it. In the beginning, your plans might not be good plans, but that's when you can start learning game sense. You can look at why it failed, and try something different next time until you start to notice patterns about what often works out well for you and what does not. Learning about the game itself will also improve your plans as you'll have more knowledge to base your decisions off of. People who play a lot but never improve do not do this. They just randomly make decisions off of intuition and don't analyze what went wrong. They just make excuses about SBMM or OP guns and play again. By actively thinking about why you are doing things, it'll allow you to adapt and improve way faster than everyone else.
This is truly a great tip for me cause free aim/hip fire is so counterintuitive because most other games I play it just doesn’t work, more like spray and pray. so I automatically aim all the time and it’s ended me quickly very Very often.😅 But basically always😆 Thanx for the tip!
Yall I have been playing for a few days and got very discouraged but just played a match as Wattson and surprised the enemy with my fence; I was able to get a K and it made me want to play more. Thanks for this video 😇
One Tipp that helped me a lot: Make sure you loot as fast as possible. It gives you way more time for positioning and makes you cover more area to loot and more loot itself. Make sure you loot fast rather than good and you will learn to loot better in a short time.
Was reading the comment section cuz Im also new (a week old ). I'm amazed by how positive the comment section is. Apex seems to habe a great community. Good to know. More power to you all.
11:56 for the love of god FINALLY! Someone is proving me correct. I am a kinda new player in Apex (Currently 147 lvl) and i am repeating my self over and over and OVER again "don't drop to a hotspot location! Drop somewhere nearby crab the essentials and then push through the hotspot areas. You will NOT get the 4k badge today and you will NOT get the 20 kill Badge today so stop being a try hard!" I am subscribing and liking this video just because of this tip!
Dude, my mind is literally blown about the not going for loot pills on hot drops part. I can’t tell ya how many drops I’ve lost in my 100 hours of play due to getting 2-3 boxes in a row that have 0 guns! It never dawned on me to go for ground loot first, primarily because I haven’t memorized where it spawns on all the map hot drops yet. I will prioritize learning these locations, thanks so much!
A couple 500 level (or what ever max is) friends of mine had me try the game and I HATED this game. But I realized, I was playing with higher level people because they were in my party. Played a couple matches on my own recently and it was fun to my surprise. Now I'm gonna try and unlearn what they taught me and see if I can actually enjoy the game. Hence why I'm here. Thanks for the video, haven't watched it yet, but thanks in advance. Edit 9:23 - whelp I guess I just sucked then lol.
Sir I truly believe you give us the calmest, most informative and easily consumed Apex content on TH-cam. You do a phenomenal job, keep up the great work!
I thought this was really good advice. I've been playing since season 1, 37 wins 791 kills with wraith s1. I took a break and haven't played for a few seasons and I watched this video as a refresher and you hit almost every single thing. Ony thing I would add is, no matter character you use, USE their abilities. USE the abilities. Program yout mind into using the abilities as a habit. In a gun fight or high stress situation you fall back to your muscle memory. If you use the abilities enough, it will become muscle memory. But great video my dude , thank you for the content.
A big thing that helped me manage my stress/panic during fights. Apart from just diving into fights and getting into stressful situations is something outside of Apex Legends: Working out. Now hold up, I know people are tired of hearing it, but my brain is more used to situations where my heart is racing now, and I'm more in tune with my body, which strangely helped out a LOT.
I love how easy it is to understand your videos. I've only gotten up to Plat 2 before a while back and I'm trying to get back in it. And honestly very helpful information ☺️ 💙 thanks so much I'm going to keep watching and learning great work
Another small tip with the gold evo (specifically for ranked cause it doesn’t matter in pubs) but the gold evo doubles wattsons and octanes passives as well as wattsons ult regen
Honestly as someone trying to get back into the game this video is amazing. It's honestly refreshing to find a gaming community that encourages growth and positive learning
ugh, i'm almost always jump-master because i don't really mind doing it, but these randoms... even when they split off from you they for some reason decide to land at the exact same place anyway, even when you ping where you're going. i wish more people would watch videos like this to learn simple game sense.
Another way to practice a combo of movement and gun skill is to activate the Easter egg where the dummies will move and shoot at you. Just pick up any gun you want to practice with and have fun! (To activate the Easter egg just look up “dummy Easter egg apex legends” and follow the instructions)
Frequent Overwatch 2 player here; wanted to try something different so my girlfriend and I have been giving this a go as of recently. Thank you a lot for the effort put into this video. It really helps! Apex Legends is amazing, I am sad it took me so long to realize.
👌 nice video, started playing after some time because I wasnt improving and I decided to relearn everything from the start to know what I was doing wrong all the time. Thank you
I’m still relatively new but so far I would recommend learning 3 legends at minimum find 4-5 guns you enjoy and change settings like send curser speed if your on console also learning other legend’s abilities and counters can help a lot and make sure you have some sort of cover most the time (even when traversing the map)
Just picked the game up, season 22 I believe. Friend of mine has been harassing me for years, I was finally like "You know what...OW2 is effectively dead and I need a replacement." If I'm playing with friends, going into the firing range for a few minutes and turning on friendly fire has been an awesome way to get warmed up or practice against moving targets. Plus it's a lot of fun!
When you said about winning a game doing third-partying, I remember one game that I was alone in the last safe, I was with Mirage, my team had a gun fight with 2 other teams, and my Gibraltar died, then I used my ult to get to another position, and waited like 3 minutes for the safe close, then when I saw that 1 of the 2 teams were eliminated, I runned to the spot I was thinking that the last team were, and for my luck there was only one guy trying to resurrect his teammates, then I just finished him. In a Battle Royale you need to have cold blood some times if you want to win.
As a guy that only plays sports games or R* games...I'm playing this with my gf and ngl it's been really fun past couple of days. Thanks for the vid, I learned quite a few tips that clicked. I'll probably have to revisit this one as I go.
I just got the game and I got killed by someone with the old Apex Predators logo and I heard that those are like the highest ranks💀 great game I can barely even aim😂
I wouldnt agree with the improvement tip that you should land safe and then 3rd party. That way you are just gonna be a cleanup, if u wanna se improvement find a duo and hotdrop every round. You are gonna keep dying for a couple of matches but over time ur gonna see massive improvement
I’ve been playing since season 4, still suck, quit multiple times, and have no friends to play with. So I am who you can trust to say if this video was helpful. It was.
The best strategy for apex is to drop casual, gather loot then hit and run increasing sheild keep moving toward finale zone and kill last two squads for the win.
Heck I've started today and I'm a player that prefers playing you could say silent and deadly. But it doesn't really work out for me. I decided to start playing as Caustic as my controller main. Not sure about the other categories yet.
Thanks for the info, my advice... this game isn't for the casual. I got matched with a guy that intentionally sabotaged drops, did nothing, and I reported him and blocked him... I then dropped with him 3 more times. Anyone else either threw a fit I "picked their character" or ran off lone wolf. Except for my first two orientation games, I never had teamwork or people sticking together. Maybe ill try again at "casual hour" (universal after 5pm or so, ppl out of school, work ect) but I was overwhelmed and disappointed. It's just not for me.
❤ watched the whole video. This was really helpful. I’m new to the game and my girlfriend has been playing since season 9 and has been diamond for a while but I want to get better and learn more to play with her
You should write books. You already have the basic script, and you can put multiple guide videos in to 1 book, and stuff like that. Anyways, thanks a lot for all these vids!
As a TItanFall fan I keep trying to get into this game but these game modes just aren't my thing. It's a bummer because I feel like I should love this game but I'm old and just like TDM... with bigass robots lol
Can you make a video about the first legend u should unlock? I find myself maining lifeline cause I like the Def/support for my team but I would like to go more def/ dmg. I'm just not sure.
today if you are not good in video game either you dont care or you just terrible at it , you have everything today to be good player in any game , but before 15-20 years we didnt have good internet , good eqip but we still game hard. i forget to say thx for video
Iv been playing apex for like 6 months im stuck in plat hoping to make it to diamond this season and my goal is masters but honestly i would be happy with diamond
I'm just gonna drop this video link in the chat when I play with randos. One thing to add If you are in a trios lobby and you match up with 2 folks with the same clan tag, you're playing solo.
yo Im a huge fps fan, and I play all kinds of fps games with my mains being csgo and r6, and I used to play apex in season 1, to 3 but now I tried it again and I am absolutely horrible, like Im talking about bot level trash, it is the first time where I started fps and I feel like "why am I so dog? am I this bad?" then go back to r6 and just absolutely demolish plat and diamond lobbys, its a really weird feeling.
Any tips for someone that has not a single minute played? COD has me questioning my sanity it’s time for a change. Tons of FPS experience just have never tried Apex. Any help is greatly appreciated
Bloodhound and R301 is the best beginner legend/weapon you can gravitate towards. Otherwise, cover is super important in Apex Legends and its a lot more of a true team game.
I really want to play this game, but there is just one problem. It's just to advanced for me, its so hard to understand everthing and i am worried about making mistakes and wrong things so idk if i should play
loaded into apex after a pretty big break, got slaughtered by a sweaty solo player, Apex has officially entered the csgo stages of new player hostility

This is truly a great tip for me cause free aim/hip fire is so counterintuitive because most other games I play it just doesn’t work, more like spray and pray. so I automatically aim all the time and it’s ended me quickly very Very often.😅

Thanks bro im uploading videos on a regular so everyone can see me get better
I just got the game and I got killed by someone with the old Apex Predators logo and I heard that those are like the highest ranks💀 great game I can barely even aim😂
I wouldnt agree with the improvement tip that you should land safe and then 3rd party. That way you are just gonna be a cleanup, if u wanna se improvement find a duo and hotdrop every round. You are gonna keep dying for a couple of matches but over time ur gonna see massive improvement
thats so dumb
@@mm-fe1pn Its not just think how do you get better at football? By playing, not by sitting on a bench and technicaly being in a game
i guess. i just wanna be good it the dang game
I just got my first W in TDM. 3 kills, but it's so fun!
I’ve been playing since season 4, still suck, quit multiple times, and have no friends to play with. So I am who you can trust to say if this video was helpful. It was.
The best strategy for apex is to drop casual, gather loot then hit and run increasing sheild keep moving toward finale zone and kill last two squads for the win.
no lol you don’t wanna go for wins in this game you go for kills unless your in ranked
Thanks for the tips.👍 I will probably still suck. But i will do it with more style
Fuse, Valk, Newcastle and caustic are fun mains.
It’s funny coming back to this after they added solos 😂
Don’t forget: sprint view shake>minimum; tool tip size>compact
I kind of like the full size tips. That one isn't really a game changing setting either.
@@TimProVision fair enough. Niche to be sure, maybe those are more “advanced” tips haha
❤ watched the whole video. This was really helpful. I’m new to the game and my girlfriend has been playing since season 9 and has been diamond for a while but I want to get better and learn more to play with her
Perfect timing Tim, quality stuff ♥
Hope you enjoy
16:36 that jump scared me 😂
Problem Is no matter how much I play I just can't track aim enemies like u do. Htf do people do that without an aim bot lol
Just subbed to you, you do a great job with apex info and everything. Keep grinding bro 🤝
Super appreciated! Welcome aboard!
I like the fact that you can unlock legends for free didn’t know that thanks Tim
Omg Ty so much I was in level two in now I’m level 120 try out it is really cool
Tim I'm having a serious problem seeing the enemy. Especially at distance ... Any words of wisdom?
4K Monitor
@@dzenanselimovic9508 rip fps
I haven't played in 4 yrs since they released Octane I'm so ready and these maps look beautiful
Welcome back!
IT'S BEEN THAT LONG???
You should write books. You already have the basic script, and you can put multiple guide videos in to 1 book, and stuff like that. Anyways, thanks a lot for all these vids!
Played for 2 hours today, got one kill
Lol
I love the thumbnail!
thank you!
could i get a video about all the terms and peeks? even the ones i won't really see too often
ty for the help just switched to kbm😃
top quality advice video that! 👏🏻👏🏻☺️
As a TItanFall fan I keep trying to get into this game but these game modes just aren't my thing. It's a bummer because I feel like I should love this game but I'm old and just like TDM... with bigass robots lol
Guys, I have mained CryPTo
Bro what wrong with? But Crypto is good with his ult
@@iamsolo9131 i don’t mind crypto, it is just an iconic joke that crypto is the worst
Cool
@@crackisyourowner I know that is joke
I've been playing crypto on this map to see how he work out
Can you make a video about the first legend u should unlock? I find myself maining lifeline cause I like the Def/support for my team but I would like to go more def/ dmg. I'm just not sure.
Horizon, Valkyrie, vantage, octane are some good picks.
any characters with movement to get you out of bad positions are the best choice
It’s Assault,Skirmisher,Controller,Support and Recon
Very Strong Video.
today if you are not good in video game either you dont care or you just terrible at it , you have everything today to be good player in any game , but before 15-20 years we didnt have good internet , good eqip but we still game hard. i forget to say thx for video
This worked!!! Better already
I'd give you two likes if I could)
Never played battle royale games before, so knowing many of these tips helps a lot
Just played my first game! 700 damage 11 min alive and kill leader trophy 🏆 oh yaaa
quick question: how is catalyst playwise? im currently away and want to know how they feels ingame as their abilities look interesting
She is a pretty good mix of defensive and a little tactical play with her ultimate wall.
@@TimProVision ok thanks bro
Iv been playing apex for like 6 months im stuck in plat hoping to make it to diamond this season and my goal is masters but honestly i would be happy with diamond
How are you enjoying the new map
Where would you rank catalyst compared to others
I like it quite a bit!
I'm just gonna drop this video link in the chat when I play with randos.
One thing to add If you are in a trios lobby and you match up with 2 folks with the same clan tag, you're playing solo.
thanks the video helped loads!!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the guide😄
yo Im a huge fps fan, and I play all kinds of fps games with my mains being csgo and r6, and I used to play apex in season 1, to 3 but now I tried it again and I am absolutely horrible, like Im talking about bot level trash, it is the first time where I started fps and I feel like "why am I so dog? am I this bad?" then go back to r6 and just absolutely demolish plat and diamond lobbys, its a really weird feeling.
🎉😂real one! Love this video!
Glad you enjoyed!
Hey now, use the L star, no reloading just aim, hey now throw an arc star, get a stick and win games
Why no L-star? I literally pick that up the most often lol. No reloading baby
i absolutely like this game but because of the solo queue experience have uninstalled this game multiple times please tell me how to play solo well.
We all get frustrated at the game. Completely understand
16:35 that alternator with the barrel stabilizer... if you kno u kno
"Back in my day" 😅
Tip 1: Get a good PC and monitor.....can't stress it enough, I'm on a shitty 1050ti laptop and I get like 5x better on a good setup
fantastic thanks
Great vid!
am going to try it out, looks hard.
i am a new player who started at season 17, i wanna ask that wraith used to be assault and pathy used to be recon?
loaded into apex after a pretty big break, got slaughtered by a sweaty solo player, Apex has officially entered the csgo stages of new player hostility
Every time I drop I instantly die to a trio of sweats it’s so annoying I just started I can’t even play anymore
same bro this game matched against mfs with 5000 hours all the time, being new
great guide
