What's the lowest voltage you can run this at? I like stipple shading at pretty low speeds. I can do it w bar needles on my direct drive but cartridges always give me pushback and my machine doesn't hit hard enough

Hey m8.. ok.. am considering grabbing a wand.. Thought I'd ask you some questions, if poss Currently I work with Cheyenne unlimited 3.5, Xion (set at 3.7ml stroke) and an FK edge X for most lining (Set at 4.2) .. Like you, I came from Coils and an early 2000's old skool shop apprenticeship.. but they ruin my wrist and give me hand buzzing numbness nowadays 🤷♂️😪 So.. in ur experienced opinion of the wands.. is one a good investment.. in light of what currently work with.. Main body of my work is b&g.. I do miss the punchy lining ability of a cut back coil liner.. but I still find I can mostly lay a crisp consistent line with a rotary.. The unlimited is great.. ease of use.. but if I'm honest, I prefer the xion for the smooth b&g blends Your honest opinion would be appreciated.
I have both unlimiteds and the wands I would go with the wand shader for smoth black and grey any day over the other machines. But it’s only good for black and grey.
Hey man, thanks for your review! Can you say something about the “axys vallallah”? This machine have an adjustable stroke and many said it’s a cool machine
If you want only one machine to do it all get valhalla, it's nowhere as comfortable as Xion, Hawk or Wand, it's heavy, it shakes more, but it's a great machine that'll line, pack and shade with almost the same power and precision 3 Wand machines offer combined.
I purchased this machine based off your review and others, i have determined I must be doing something wrong lol. I have tried to push a Cheyenne 9 power liner several times now and have had terrible results, each time it left scratchy lines that looked raked. I switched over to my Cheyenne thunder and it pushed it with no problems. Any idea why this may be happening?
Precision Ink Tattoos & Piercings It’s hard to say it can be down to 3 things the stretch volts and speed of your hand. Try adjusting them one by one. I also prefer the Cheyenne medium taper for lining I get better results. The wand can push 11 liners and over with ease.
Jason Griffiths I’m still relatively new to rotaries have used a few but it seems like on the bishop my needles hanging out further as far as the actual travel do you find that to be so or do you think that’s just my miss perception because I’m used to using coil machines
I’ve tattooed quite a few people with it and people say it hurts less. Someone I tattooed with it that I’ve tattooed with coils and the Xion said this hurts the least and I went in and swapped my needle out for the Xion as a test and apparently the Xion hurt way more
I really like watching your reviews but i have to disagree this time. The wand liner definitely lines better than other pens but in fact its just a direct drive rotary with 5mm stroke. It whould have been nicer if bishop whould have tried to make the stroke characteristics more crisp like the neuma 4 or dan kubin, instead of just putting a 5mm standard cam in it. With a properly tuned coil or dan kubin your getting a super crisp hit and some damping at the same time what lowers the risk of blowouts and produces super dark and crisp lines. The wand is definitely an awesome cartridge liner but i whouldnt say that its as good as a dan kubin or a coil.
I’ve tattooed with and been tattooed by the Bishop Wand Liner and it is brutal. It honestly makes tattoos more painful than they have to be. I have been lining with the Packer and it seems to line just as well without making my clients cringe 😬
@@natedevilin9573 its s direct drive, so making it less expensive because its a super simple machine is just normal. Its still way overpriced for what it is
I use coil and think the price of bishop wand is so overpriced it cost them less than 60 bucks to make each one and they sell each one is 600 dollars each thats a triple profit margin or more sorry u paid all that money for that I understand business but this price is fucking robbery
What about design times, engineers at every level, imported parts, resources, consents, patents, sheer effort and knowledge that the creators of this machine put in that make it completely different to everything else.
