Hi, I am goigng to be taking my test in Borhamwood next week. Would you be able to list all the major roundabouts that we could potentially come across ?
All the roundabouts on the A1 from the M25 southbound to the A41, then up the A41 to Elstree. Then you have all the roundabouts in Borhamwood itself.

@@kenhus3314 don't pull out to the roundabout too fast, wait for a good opportunity. Take the minor for hesitation rather then the major for unsafe observation

Don’t think of it as a test. Just think your their chauffeur and they are not in a rush.
Look as far ahead as you can.

7:49 I still think it's better to physically move your head instead of just using your eyes. I done mocks where the examiner gave me a minor for not checking the mirrors even though I used my eyes and I have also heard it from other people.
I get what you’re saying, but as a DVLA medical assessor myself, we are trained to check. Particularly if the client/candidate wears glasses. When people do things differently on the test it then can cause other mistakes. This is because they aren’t doing things at an unconsciously skilled state which they would normally have been at.

6:27 Could you please explain why you asked her to take the second exist using the right hand lane here? Isn’t it supposed to be left hand lane for first & second exists & right for more?
Good question Frotan. It’s because the leader board on the approach is incorrect. Straight is actually in the 1 o’clock position. If you check out the link here th-cam.com/video/T0-x-YubdQ8/w-d-xo.html it shows how multi-lane roundabouts need to be approached and navigated.

I've noticed something the first couple of times when Shakira pulled over, wasn't she supposed put the car in neutral before moving off. P.O.M?
It’s not a necessity. If The examiner asks you to drive on before you’ve applied the parking brake, as long as you do your effective observations before pulling away and the car doesn’t roll back, it is not an issue.

6:36, if I would like to drive on 1st exit, which lane I should choose, I am asking this because the left lane of the 1st exit is just for taking left, so can I use the right hand lane to go toward 1st exit if I don't want to turn left.
I would advise to be in the left land and then move across if safe. And if it’s not, turn into Tesco and the examiner will redirect you. If you are in the right lane, it’s also not an issue if you know you are going straight at the second roundabout. But you MUST be checking the passenger side mirror properly.
