Sometimes I really miss the old days. When things were, simpler in a way. Before you hate, I don't dislike anyone who's became part of the ah family. I love Kdin, Matt, Jeremy, whoever it might be, and I'm glad they've taken _some_ stress outta Geoff and Gav's lives with these lets builds. But nonetheless I miss these good old days of just the six guys and when the schedule was simple. Monday was GTA, Tuesday was Lets Build, Wednesday was a random LP, Thursday was VS and Friday was Minecraft. Apart from the other mini-series on Roosterteeth, that was it. It was a simpler schedule and I miss that. Even before that, when there wasn't really a schedule, just lets plays. These videos remind me of what it means to have a good time, just two guys relaxing playing minecraft and drinking bevs, having a good time. I can't even begin to imagine the stress being put on Geoff and the others everyday just to keep up with the demand for videos and to produce good-quality videos for every damn series they have. It must be the most stressful thing ever to manage every video and series that achievement hunter produces. And the fact that the fan base is so unforgiving if they don't get minecraft or something else, it must make it that much more stressful. It sucks because we don't really get to see this stuff anymore, the relaxing "let's just play.. and have fun.. and drink" kind of times that made me feel just as relaxed or carefree. I just feel like I don't get to see that side of achievement hunter as much anymore. Yeah they have fun and their lets plays are always a blast and I love their videos to bits, but i always feel like either one or more of the guys is just totally worn out, whether it be Geoff or Ray or whoever. I guess that's what comes with the growing of the company though. More people to manage, more content to produce, more stress and more work, and unfortunately less play. I think _this_ is why I enjoy these Geoff/Gav lets plays and Happy Hour and that stuff. It's because it's real. It's two dudes havin a laugh at building stupid shit in minecraft, or a family getting drunk and doing stupid shit or trying to get all the achievements in peggle 2. That is the achievement hunter i know and love and I hope I don't sound ungrateful, because I do embrace change. I just hope they keep digging old footage and hilarious shit up from back in the day. Saying all that I have, I hope you guys get to play what you want. I know you're really bound to a schedule nowadays, but play what you want, if you guys are having fun, so are we. Also, thanks for the chill video before bed guys.
I know what you mean about the old days. I was watching some of the older Minecraft Let's Plays, and I thought I liked them more because Ray had more energy compared to now. But someone I know made a post explaining how things have changed and I realized I liked the old ones because *all* of them had more energy. (It's also why I like the current build team a lot, since they seem like they actually like being there.) They were lively. They liked playing the games they play, and now they're openly hating on the game and making fun of themselves and the game. If they're tired of it, stop playing it. Everyone seems so overworked now, especially since they have even *more* new shows being put out. They're reusing jokes to the point it's becoming stale. I personally just think the crew needs a break for a week or something. Cut out anything they don't enjoy doing, because I'd rather see less of them if it meant happier, more positive, and funnier videos, than videos that they themselves don't even like making anymore. At this point now it's also just more than I can keep up with.
I feel the same way. They're all focused on the content they're making now, so their is no more "screw it, lets play what we want and have fun" anymore. THAT is the achievement hunter I love. And I know lets build was the least watched, but I was my favorite out of anything they put up.

I just feel that the old RT was a much better and enjoyable environment. This feeling is what also stomped my dream of one day working at RT, I no longer want to because they're a lot less tight knit then before.

Wow, talk about a "Blast From The Past". It's real nice to see Geoff and Gavin doing a Let's Build, but I don't hate the new team just so you know, it's just a nice...feeling. The one thing that definitely gets me though is, well, this is a long time ago which means that this is before a lot of good and/or bad moments happened in RT/AH. Anyone else feel like Geoff had a lot of fun doing this? I bring this up because nowadays he looks burnt out/tired. Regardless though, thank you so much for this video, it really made me smile and appreciate everything you all do. Geoff is very enthusiastic in this video, and all the past videos. But now he seems tired and worn out, like his life has gone out of him. But people don't notice it, they always comment about Ray, but he still enjoys yes playing games, he just gets bored of playing the same game over and over, like Minecraft and GTA V
Compared to these, I feel like I actually prefer the new let's builds. More things happen, the builds are more intricate, and there are more people to talk so there is less silence in the video overall.
I actually like the new guys because they're closer to my age, so they talk about a few thing that I would be able to relate to. NOT THE FUCKING CASE WITH PLAN G!!!

RT should just go on break for a week, or something. i feel like pressure is getting to them, just set all aside do something nice for them self's. Screw all the haters, and the ones of us that are fans would understand and wait patiently.
They actually all do take breaks. Michael was just on a week long of not going into the office at the beginning of this month I believe. They all have scheduled breaks. We are just never aware of them because they film so much in advance that they can keep putting out stuff when they all go on breaks. It's more obvious sometimes. Like in some Lets Plays or videos they talk about how only 2 people came into work.
What they really need/want to do is less Minecraft and GTA and more of other games for series. They do so much in both games that they get burnt out but they've said that even after people ask for new game and/or series they show up for Minecraft/GTA more and less show up for new games. I'd tell them to try to do a new series in place of Minecraft or GTA and commit to it for a month or so to try to make it a thing, but they are the experts not me. I watch everything whereas they have to make what most people will watch.

But yes i feel minecraft is heavy and so is gta, I do like gta and minecraft, not as much as other videos however. Here's my opinion on the whole Lets Build argument. Geoff and Gavin Lets Build = Awesome. Kdin, Lindsay, Matt and Jeremy Lets Build = Awesome. My preference is Geoff and Gavin because that's what I'm used to. That does NOT mean I hate the new crew. I love them. That does NOT make me a fake fan, hater, or whatever you want to say. I'm fine with either Lets Build, and that was just my two cents on what the other comments seem to argue about.
They are talking about Sethbling's Minecraft videos while building Mario a couple years ago. Sethbling hasn't been playing Minecraft lately, but instead Mario.
I love the videos that you guys make at Achievement Hunter, and I also urge you to do more, but, I also urge you to more pc stuff like any games on pc.
It's fun watching these. I'm currently building a Grand Achievement Hotel in the style of the Grand Budapest Hotel from the film, some alterations will be made of course, but my intention is to submit the design to them and also write up a murder mystery where one of the crew is a killer and it's up to the other to determine who the killer is (great thing you can turn off death messages).

i used to always wish that had a "links discussed in this episode" just like in the podcasts, just so i could find the things they talked about just as the frying pan and washing machine that gavin was talking about.
Finally a good lets build. No offense to the others that make the lets builds, but the ones made my Gavin and Geoff are so much better made and fun to watch.
I love how the ad cut in immediately after Gavin said, "I made it so I can lean over and gobble at your crotch if I need to." Talk about a pregnant pause.
Someone should make a video of doing this in Minecraft using world edit etc. so we can all laugh at how this could have been completed in less time than it takes to watch this video.
We used to share an office floor with Absolut Vodka in the old building I worked in. They were loud. They also built a bar in their office for their moving party.
I think a big reason why this series was good in the beginning because it was these 2 just hanging out gettin bevs and being real. I don't mind Team Building Exercise or whoever they are (I think Jeremy is the funniest), but I don't find them as entertaining. Maybe I don't get their humor, or maybe I just like Geoff and Gavin more? It just seems like a lot of talking over the other ones (especially Kdin), and it is no one getting drunk. So maybe as an experiment, Geoff should let the build team toss back a few. THAT I feel would be entertaining. I'm happy to see this Let's Build btw.

I just realized how well the mics now are in comparison to this video, although it is slight, I can tell. Ive been watching RT since "Fails of the Weak ep. 4" and I compared those to now and its so much different. So you can notice a pattern, theyre constantly trying to improve quality and Im sure the pressure added (as NinjaPups said) is causing too much stress to create a laid back video :(

I guess it's just been a looong time since I've looked at any of the older videos, I seriously thought the Mario was older than Felix and the cloud fortress. I dunno. Memories mushing together, I suppose.
These builds are less cluttered and more relaxed, but I actually prefer the one with the B team. I like the commentary and the back and forth they have.
You've gotta give the guys alot of credit for how much hard work they put in to all this, imagine how exhausting your own 9-5 jobs are. They've given alot of people inspiration and I've been following Achievement Hunter and Rooster Teeth for the past 2 years now. Even to the point where I've decided to make my own TH-cam videos, keep up the good work guys, most of us really appreciate all the hard work!

My preference is Geoff and Gavin because that's what I'm used to. That does NOT mean I hate the new crew. I love them. That does NOT make me a fake fan, hater, or whatever you want to say. I'm fine with either Lets Build, and that was just my two cents on what the other comments seem to argue about.
They are talking about Sethbling's Minecraft videos while building Mario a couple years ago. Sethbling hasn't been playing Minecraft lately, but instead Mario.
Seeing where Gavin fly over where he hid the tower in the Find the Tower really made me miss the good Minecraft let's plays.
I love the videos that you guys make at Achievement Hunter, and I also urge you to do more, but, I also urge you to more pc stuff like any games on pc.
It's fun watching these. I'm currently building a Grand Achievement Hotel in the style of the Grand Budapest Hotel from the film, some alterations will be made of course, but my intention is to submit the design to them and also write up a murder mystery where one of the crew is a killer and it's up to the other to determine who the killer is (great thing you can turn off death messages).

I miss these. And a their achievement guides, Look Back At's, simple things to do's, and other old time AH things. But these days are good, too.
i used to always wish that had a "links discussed in this episode" just like in the podcasts, just so i could find the things they talked about just as the frying pan and washing machine that gavin was talking about.
Finally a good lets build. No offense to the others that make the lets builds, but the ones made my Gavin and Geoff are so much better made and fun to watch.

We used to share an office floor with Absolut Vodka in the old building I worked in. They were loud. They also built a bar in their office for their moving party.
I think a big reason why this series was good in the beginning because it was these 2 just hanging out gettin bevs and being real. I don't mind Team Building Exercise or whoever they are (I think Jeremy is the funniest), but I don't find them as entertaining. Maybe I don't get their humor, or maybe I just like Geoff and Gavin more? It just seems like a lot of talking over the other ones (especially Kdin), and it is no one getting drunk. So maybe as an experiment, Geoff should let the build team toss back a few. THAT I feel would be entertaining. I'm happy to see this Let's Build btw.
They should play Dying Light Co-op. I thinks it'd be good.

Y'know, it seems like Minecraft brought Gavin's intelligence down to some level, and Geoff's happiness was just "poof" gone. But hey! I still love those guys ^~^

I just realized how well the mics now are in comparison to this video, although it is slight, I can tell. Ive been watching RT since "Fails of the Weak ep. 4" and I compared those to now and its so much different. So you can notice a pattern, theyre constantly trying to improve quality and Im sure the pressure added (as NinjaPups said) is causing too much stress to create a laid back video :(
It's funny, a majority of the comments I've read have either been "I miss these lets builds, team building exercise doesn't do it for me" or "I prefer the new lets builds, OG just doesn't do it for me" but no real infighting, we're learning

You've gotta give the guys alot of credit for how much hard work they put in to all this, imagine how exhausting your own 9-5 jobs are. They've given alot of people inspiration and I've been following Achievement Hunter and Rooster Teeth for the past 2 years now. Even to the point where I've decided to make my own TH-cam videos, keep up the good work guys, most of us really appreciate all the hard work!
