I am stitching on 18 count with one thread on my new project, Merry Christmas by The Camping Stitcher. This is my first time stitching with one thread and it is an adjustment. I agree, the restart on the 18 count looks even better for Jane Austen. Thanks for the history lesson! Very interesting.

Thanks, Sallie. I am so torn, because I know that it is brighter on the white Aida-it just looks rather elementary/basic. Uh, I like them BOTH. And then, cheers to the WOOS quilt helping the volunteer fire dept’s supply costs!

The first colour "cobblestone" you ended up taking off looked nice however the white really showed the colours better, crisper if you will, just my humble opinion. It is a beautiful stitch. The WOOS quilt is beautiful. I love mine and will enter it in shows early 2025. I hope they raise a HUGE amount of money for such a beautiful quilt! Thanks for sharing!
