I honestly don't know the answer to that, I haven't played NL before. But mobbing gets REALLY easy in some areas (LOTS of horizontal range) but maps that require vertical mobbing will be crap. As for bossing, you'll set up turrets when need be, use Monkey Wave (drum) and Monkey Fury every 30 seconds to maintain some buffs, and besides that you'll just be spamming Cannon Barrage while using BHG / 5th Job Bullet Bill when the timing is right and making bosses walk with it if applicable. No double flash jump but you have double vertical flash jumps, so you can cover a LOT of area really easily. Hope this helps! More videos coming shortly.
What controller you use and what program ? I play this game and want to use a controller so when I grind my mules.. thanks in advance
I just use a PS2 controller hooked up to PC via an adapter (I use d-pad, not analog). I actually don't use a program however, I just use the game's default joypad support.
hey is it worth buying the Absolab cannon or stick with the Fafnir cannon?
I believe Fafnir, as you're not gonna viably complete an AbsoLabs set in GMS (and on top of that absolabs set is weaker than RA + Tyrants in GMS) so just stick with Fafnir cannon. I'll upgrade to Arcane Umbra in the future and if that option is available for you, go for it.

and the thing about lotus that i've found (espiecally during phase 1 skips) it depends on the time of day. like i went earlier in the morning and didnt have any skips so iunno :s

Do you have tips for how a new player can get their foot in the door? Its very hard for me to make money and to level because my gear is really bad and I out level the recommended stuff. I can probably only get like 40m a day, how do I get more?
Honestly, starting out is always the hardest. Try to get friends that will carry you in Hellux or CRA (especially CRA) for that gear, always try to get any epic potential scrolls from events that you can, try selling gollux scroll service if you can as that goes for a bit, and if you have the motivation (I didn't) you could sell cube service as a master/meister but that also usually involves a lot of investment to get the materials as well. Remember to do Commerci if you don't, you can get a good bit of money over time from that and SW Gloves still sell for a good bit, plus it has improved cube drop rates compared to the past. 40m a day isn't bad but eventually it'll add up, try to focus on saving up spell traces from Silent Crusader coins + bossing and make sure you get a Big Spider familiar, and eventually once you have TONS of spell traces and money for innos/css try to get someone with max diligence to 15-30% trace your weapon during a spell trace fever time. No shame in getting your gear 70% traced 11 stars in the meantime, that damage will go a long way altogether in the beginning, and also no shame in using clean Reinforced Gollux gear as well until you fully scroll some superior gollux gear. Try to get a Black Gate Ring that you can throw cogs on from events, those are decent f2p rings, and for a free shoulder/ring do the Princess No prequests, each time you do the roleplay dungeon originally (Kanna/Hayato/Ayame) you can get Ayame's Treasure (belt), Kanna's Treasure (ring) and Hayato's Treasure (shoulder). Their set bonus is decent for f2p (but not worth breaking rein/sup gollux set for the belt) but Hayato's shoulder in particular is as good as an empress shoulder so not bad if you don't have a good shoulder.
Sorry I don't have much else right off hand, it's hard to fund early on without help unless you want to learn how to merch. What server are you in?

why does everyone have soo much money, im level 170 dual blade on zenith and i can barely afford a plain fenrir damascus. i can barely solo normal von bon and it annoys me that level 150's have higher range than I do. Plus Gollux items are out of the question for the next few weeks. Is there anything I can do to make a lot of mesos so that I can start to be able to afford sweetwater katara and things like that. Well it takes a lot of time and dedication, while I haven't spent any money on Maplestory this is the result of 2 1/2 years of hard work (with some breaks here and there ofc, probably like 1 year 10 months or so if we're talking total play time) so it really depends on whether or not you can stick with it. You've probably heard this before but elite bossing is a good way to make money, selling CSS, prot scrolls, and maybe even cube service. You can use the Epic Pot scrolls from elite bosses to epic potential your gear, and also make sure to do all bosses that you're able to every day and selling excessive potions. It may not seem like a lot but it adds up. And as you get higher level and stronger more and more options will become available to you. Running Commerci will help as well, a -tiny- chance for sweetwater gloves will be easy money and saving up denaro for a sweetwater tattoo/glasses to sell is also decent money. Again it's a lot of hard work but if you stick with it it'll pay off.

True that man. Another thing is possibly asking for chaos Root Abyss carries, get those emblems and sell the equips since they actually go for a decent amount now. I think some emblems might be glitched for some bosses but as long as you follow the rules of the person carrying it should go well. And one big thing is to build contacts, not to be low or anything but it helps to have nice friends and to be a positive influence on them. You help others and they'll help you back, even if it's not in the same way going both ways. I certainly wouldn't have come as far as I have without the help of the amazing friends that I've made in Maplestory.

I enjoyed this game long ago, but the necessary damage ranges required of me to play certain content felt too demanding for me. I wish there was something else to the game that would draw me back to it.
I feel you man, honestly for me it's not the damage ranges per se it's just how long and luck-based it takes to get there if you're not spending real money. It took me 2 1/2 years to get to where I am now and people could pass me after spending a lot of money easily and it's not just depressing but monotonous.

Alright alright alright. Up until 5 minutes ago I thought the bosses literally dropped the CRA gear. So each individual square is one CRA equip?
They used to drop the CRA gear yeah, but that was patched because of how lopsided the drops were in regards to who had/didn't have drop gear and provided dps etc. And no I think it's about 5 squares for one cra equip but more for the weapon? It's been a while since I've used one lol.

Didn't say controller was easier, I said it was easy. Playing a game like this is easier for me with a controller for movement, tried keyboard at first and it felt really unnatural. Maybe traditional mmo's just aren't for me. :P
Response time is good, it's more issues with certain other functions of the game. One example being that skill transparency isn't applied properly when using skills via controller 90% of the time, and the AoT event was COMPLETLY broken when it came out (though this was fixed a week later) so I'm skeptical about ICPB working properly. I also dunno if it's a controller issue or it just comes with the territory but combo classes can't use pots when using combo skills on controller, have to wait until you're done attacking entirely which is really slow.

Bullet Bill hits 12 lines per hit, and around 4.5 times per second if I recall. Barrage hits 15 lines per hit and close to 2 hits per second with my attack speed.

Fires multiple cannonballs at once, focusing on one enemy ahead of you. Bonus Critical Rate and Ignore DEF applied. The bonus critical rate only applies for this skill.
Level 1: MP Cost: 45, Number of Attacks: 4, Damage: 455%, Bonus Critical Rate: 1%, Ignore DEF: 5%
Level 30: MP Cost: 63, Number of Attacks: 4, Damage: 600%, Bonus Critical Rate: 15%, Ignore DEF: 20%
But it says only attack 4 lines per skill pressed

You're not looking at all of cannoneer's skills m8, there's a hyper passive that adds +1 line to Barrage and Buckshot is a hyper skill that triples the amount of lines that cannoneer's skills have.
