Today I’m going to show you my mask makeup, which is perfect for anyone who wants transfer-proof makeup - and also makeup technique that doesn’t require baking and definitely looks more towards the baddie style but if you prefer a sweet look then just copy my foundation technique. This video is longer than usual because it is an updated base makeup tutorial as well. I hope this new makeup technique will be able to help you guys out! @@whyhihigh wow that was a read. It’s factual but unfortunate of the difficulties non white TH-camrs have to face. I’d say that her style of making videos and her more Asian based makeup tutorials are what got her so far.
The market for Asian beauty youtubers are growing rapidly but the difference is most of their videos are in their language with English subtitles. And they have the backing of their country. TH-camrs like Sichen and Michelle Phan are more American based.
It’s not a route it’s reality. We see the talent and we say “Why?” Why is someone that is not as “creative” or “talented” receiving more praise and recognition as someone else? As hard as it is to admit sometimes it just stems down to race. As a white person it’s hard to see it cause your not used to it but it’s something me as a black person grew up knowing.
But they know what their doing which is why they’ve made it so far. Consistency and hard work is working for her. She deserves everything and more, it’s a tough business. *Sigh* I ended up writing just as much as you.
@@jeannedingajd LMAOOO yea, and I can see and reflect on the fact that her not being white is the true thing here - along w the things I also mentioned.
I can see a pattern. White and gay is the substantial stuff to success on TH-cam. The next is being white and female, doesn’t matter what sexuality you have. Then comes the black females, as I don’t see many males for that matter. I’d say Asians are at the lowest point of popularity, if we take every popular makeup channel and see what race and sexuality they have.
I hate the fact that whites are more popular. It’s also almost only when _they_ also just _mention_ shades being a little tight w the darker ones that things change.
Something in me still thinks that you still have to be good at makeup to become popular. I, myself, dislike Jeffree (ofc), Jackie Aina (bc of her shady stuffs that I think (?) she didn’t address-), Tati Westbrook, that one Gabriel Zamora? Idk? And a lot more - mainly bc of scandals. They all seem quite good at makeup, but I’d rather support an artist like Sichen than a Jeffree.

honestly same, I've lost a lot of productivity and the "want" to do things. Like I have the motivation but sometimes motivation isn't enough ya know?
Dedication and commitment are the keys.
As long as you have enough of them you will eventually succeed.
Same like is it cuz i've been isolated for so long with this pandemic? all i do is stay home. I have no motivation to even get out of bed some days.
