I have always enjoyed watching rips and randomly picked this set to start getting into the hobby... have been through 6 blasters and I feel like my best pull is a tri colour scottie. Does anyone have suggestions on what retail basketball sets to rip this year? any tips would be appreciated. loved the vid though. thanks

I bought one of these yesterday with a similar result. It’s ridiculous all the things you need to compete against:
-Retail blue vs chrome border
-Watered down B rate players dominating the collation
-95% concourse/premier
-Gook/centering issues with cards
-virtually no numbered cards
-$35 a box (at wal-mart)
-Printed beyond belief
It’s a shame because I like Select but the amount of hoops you have to climb and money you have to spend to even hit something decent is outrageous.

That was hard to watch. But I haven’t seen anything getting pulled from the Blasters, Cellos or hobby. So I think your right. May need to wait a bit let them sell down and a few restocks and maybe the fire starts. Thanks for sharing 👊✌️
Thanks for the info on the select blasters I will have to try a few I have opened around a half dozen of the select football and I pulled a Chris Olave rookie signature card and a trey burks redemption auto

Jaden Springer is everywhere! Basketball actually terrible compared to retail Select football right now. These boxes they could print them to the moon but the football with the numbered cards is surely printed in less numbers. $15 hanger pack with color looking like only thing worth ripping for basketball right now.

Select basketball for me last yeah was extremely rough and this year doesn't seem any different.
Nice review but I'm now I'm kinda worried about my smaller order of Select basketball blasters since you didn't pull anything super crazy. The best pull I got from last year's Select basketball was an Ant man courtside red orange flash or shimmer. Also I think the channel would appreciate it if you reviewed the Select basketball Hanger Packs

a year later but i bought a hanger pack the other day at cvs and pulled a gold Kemba Walker #10 out of10. I can't find how much it is worth. Really nice looking card.@@vyprkngsnk
In one blaster I pulled a jalen suggs flash prizm concourse, James bouknight green white purple prizm concourse, jaden springer silver concourse and a Johnathan kuminga blue base concourse!

I've had really bad luck with the blasters, but amazing luck with the hangers. Bought 3 hangers and pulled a Tatum Premier Tiger out of the first pack, 2nd pack wasn't crazy, but the 3rd had an Isiah Jackson Gold /10

Optic was more enjoyable than select but for me, Prizm is the best format this year
I think they printed these to the ground too lol my Meijer had about 30 of these sitting on the shelf. They did have a nice sale so it was 31.99 for them. Nice rip as always bro!

First step is complete sets of you're into that and then give them away. Donating is nice but not always wanted, and you could give them away at games or Halloween next year!

Base hobby has very little value over the blue, but this is a better approach than what Select did with football removing the Field Level completely from retail

This stuff is so mass produced that you will be lucky pull 1 Courtside parallel and 1 numbered card per 20 box case of blasters..

Caught a restock and had these, my first time ripping this new product. Bought two blasters. First box second pack rookie auto! Then a silver Suggs and silver Barnes club level….. not bad box at all, but second was a dud

Man after watching this it seems like Select basketball is a skip for me this year... Maybe I'll just open a couple hangers or something on the cheaper side. 35 per blaster is pretty high considering what you get.

That's what I'm saying. Reminds me too much of UFC Select. No hits at all really.
It's always the same for prizm, optic and select. Minimum amount of cards in a minimum amount of packs....and with so many parallels and a decent sized checklist, you're way more likely to strike out then you are to get your money's worth.

At my walmart today there was an entire case of select blaster boxes and not one was gone. The card section is condensed to about 2 feet wide now though. I think retail is dead ( like it used to be, nobody used to care about retail).
At least your area is how it should be! No reason at all these should be flying off the shelves. Went to my local Walmart last night at 10pm, there had to be 35-40 boxes on the shelf and over retail price at $35 per box …. Went back at 8pm tonight not even 24 hours later and shit was cleaned out not 1 box left …. Feel bad for whoever cleaned it out thinking times are like 2020. Couldn’t believe it with my own eyes. Zero reason to buy these at retail price of $30 per let alone $35 at Walmart …. My wallet left happy tho

I opened wwe select blaster 6 boxes, out of those 6 blasters I pulled 2 elephants one mez, and one ringside
Ripped one blaster today. Courtside orange prizm Kuminga, Jalen Green green and purple, and a turbo charged Scottie not a bad blaster.

Baseball is junk, 9000 prospects and players aren't good until they are 40 years old, if ever. But it's all a matter of preference.

Did pretty good on my target blasters. Hit a Courtside Giddey green/purple, and a Austin Reaves auto. Overall Select Basketball is nowhere near as good as Football.

Only good retail product rn is Topps series update, or donruss 2021 football blasters or megas. Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones cards have tanked by 1700% since the season as they r both trash. Invest in select 2020 product as u can get burrow or Herbert or tua

What kind of store sells that many blasters at once ? I can't never buy more then five at a time , most the time it's three ! They want even smile when they say it . But you got some real nice cards but you can tell they all came in the same bunch . I was able to buy two select football blasters and a Labron figure it is blue and no other color .
