True designer of MiG-3 (I-200 project) was Nikolai Polikarpov. Gurevich was his deputy. When Polikarpov was on a business trip to Germany, Mikoyan stole his plane. Stalin probably knew about this. Mikoyan was a friend of Stalin.

Did the Russians posses any type of b-25 or heinkel-111 equivalent? I know they used the il-2 as ground attack but any bombers?
