Just got back from the Phillipines and I was amazed of how friendly and humble the people are . My brother got married in Tagaytay to his Filipino bride. We also stayed in Batangas . Next trip will definitely be Palawan and Boracay. Keep it up Wil.

I was blessed to have been raised by my grandparents. So just like you, I'm fluent in Tagalog and Kapampangan. Your Lola is so cute! My grandparents lived till they were 98 & 92. Have you been to Bagiuo City? Besides having SF weather including the FOG, its about that time to pick strawberries at La Trinidad, soak in Asin Hot Springs in Tuba, ride horses at Wright Park, drive around or golf for Pudra at Camp John Hay ( tell him its like Harding Park/ Olympic Club w/ pine trees pa mor ), chibog time at Ketchup restaurants, bring a sweater when you go there or better yet check out the nightly flea market at Harrison Street where you can buy really cheap quality merchandise. You can find accommodations for as many as 20 people in a spacious bungalow at Teacher's Camp. I was born there in Bagiuo, until I came to the US at 13 yrs.old where I reside in San Francisco. Go Giants, Go Dubs, Go Sharks! Keep up your great work, I really enjoy how you are evolving as a true filipino.

My favorite province would probably be Pangasinan because I stayed there for a long period of time and I enjoyed it so much! You really need to visit the Hundred Islands in Alaminos :) Love u wil!

Hey buddy, go to Alcantara, Romblon, to the Aglicay Beach Resort... three hours by boat north of Boracay or 40 min from Manila by plane. It is gorgeous, great food and completely outside of the beaten path. I love to stay there when we visit my wife's family; my wife's family has a little farm there.
Go to romblon city Wil. Actually Romblon is my province hehe. Romblon is beautiful there are so many beaches there. And also, Romblon is the city of Marbles. But most marbles can only be seen in Romblon, Romblon. But it's a beautiful place. You should visit it :D
