    When I first watched this video my attention was on learning to make SVGs and importing them. So My brain skipped over the Open LDS file option as I now have many. I caused myself a great deal of stress over a 24 hr period. I knew I was missing something. I could not figure out what it was. So after the layering video I went back to rewatch this 3 Ways to OPEN a File video and both relieved and anguished over feeling like a airhead at the simplicity that went right over my head. I confess this to be of assistance to others. There is no harm in repeat watches of the same videos. Each time you are sure to get more and possibly different intell. We can all get tunnel vision when focused on one thing and overlook several other things in the process. And try to be kinder to yourself than I have been to myself. It is a learning curve. Take 3 deep breaths and the time to learn and revisit each of the videos as time goes. YOU GOT THIS!

    Great videos as always. Your information is so valuable. I have been trying to get a few additional blade holders for my Juliet. Do you know when they might be able? Thanks in advance

      On the Siser live this week they said Michaels should hopefully have them beginning of December.
      I check here daily - bit.ly/3tCzDUW affil
      If you are outside the U.S., then you'll need to contact your local Siser retailer.

    I would love to use it for papercraft, but the software does not read DXF files and the tracing is just not precise enough...

      It is all going to depend on the image you start with on how well it will trace an image. I've seen excellent results from users.
      No, it doesn't open dxf files, but it can open svg files which is typically your higher quality cut file.

    When I press send to printer it, keeps telling me no preview available.
    What can I do to fix that?

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just click print. I'm guessing you are on Windows 11? It's a Windows menu thing that doesn't show the preview.

    How do I import font files from Silhouette Design to Leonardo Design Studio? I am just getting started with my Juliet machine, which you can probably tell by my basic question.

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Fonts are installed directly onto the computer and both Silhouette Studio and Leonardo Design Studio pull them from the computer.

      @@SwiftCreekCustoms Thank you so much for your speedy response. I was totally overthinking this! You saved me time and angst.

    I would consider this machine if there was an option to save a file in a format of my choice. Such as in Silhouette. Do you think that’s a future upgrade?

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms

      Yes, it is on the list for a future update. They are listening to feedback from users and updating things that are important to users. I know that is one thing on the future update list.

    What do you use to make SVGs??? i have png files that i need cut and cant import to leonardo... Help plz just upgraded to a juliet from cricut air

      Siser Leonardo Design Studio will import png files and then you tell it what you want it to do.
      You should be able to use File > Open or File > Import to open a png file.
      Are you trying to turn them into a cut file? I use Silhouette Studio Business Edition to create svg files, but you would need to trace a png file no matter what software you open it in to create a svg cut file.

    If I save a CorelDraw file as SVG, can I then select only parts of the file in Leonardo for cutting?
    In other words, one part might be cut in red vinyl, and another in black. This way, I don't have to save 2 different SVG files.

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, there are a few ways you can do it. If the svg is filled with color, then Leonardo Design Studio separates those colors out onto different mats on the Send tab and you can choose which ones you want cut.
      Or you can hide layers you don't want cut.

      The software is free to download and you can play and test it ....

    Is it possible to remove the background when importing a file?

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on the type of image you are starting with and the options you tell it to trace with when you open a png or jpeg. If you mean does it do full background removal, no, currently there isn't a magic tool just for that, but you do get several trace options when you open it. Play around with the software and see what happens, it's the best way to learn..... all files or photos will be different.
