There's an African proverb that really fits this movie. "The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth"

My favorite moment of acting in this movie is “You were wrong! All of you were wrong!” That gives me chills every time. The Ancestral Planes music in this movie is so beautiful too.

I think it's interesting how even T'Challa's father isnt purely the best father. He too like Odin tried hiding his dirty past. Shows how not holding ourselves accountable when hurting others can have very negative consequences

  • @WSK9002

I think one of the most depressing scenes in this film, that hardly no one talks about when Erik doesn't even react to seeing his Dad in The Ancestral Plane, no joy, no crying, nothing just wrath, one can see in N'Jobu's eyes, the shame and guilt he has knowing he had a hand in turning his son into this.

Fun fact: In the comics T'Chala has an older brother named Hunter (white guy) who also goes by the moniker of White Wolf he leads the dogs of war, wakandian military police. And Black Panthers wife in the comics is Storm from the X men.

"The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.” -African Proverb"
Truly fits Killmonger. He's not a villain, he was just left to defend for himself. I believe if he was taken back to Wakanda all of this conflict could've been solved over a conversation. Erik is right but he's learned the worse lessons from the worst places.
Just imagine if he given the resources and care from people that loved him what he would've became??

One of my favorite scenes was Killmonger's museum scene because before watching this movie I never realized how important it was for our people to have access to our culture. And for those masks, spears & other African artifacts to be behind a glass case for display is disrespectful to our ancestors.

People felt bad for Kilmonger, and yes he was dealt a bad hand...but after him killing women...f that guy.
He had a great send off speech, but he didn't deserve any sympathy. He was an extremist. A flip card of Hitler.
Now Nakia gave T'challa the idea to share their technology with the world before Eric Kilmonger, but T'challa wasn't convinced until he was threatened.
Although it was a noble idea at the mid credit scene to go back to the U.N., in retrospect of what happens after, maybe his father and ancestors were right.
The same type of people in history that ravaged the rich natural resources of Africa, including its people, still exists in the world.
So, was it a good idea to share that information about their resources with the U.N.?
Stolen Vibranium was already being sold on the black market for decades. Howard Stark bought some off the black market back in WW2 and made Steve his Captain America shield out of it. So, if the world leaders know you have an abundance left, what do you think some of them will do to get it?
This movie was definitely a cultural phenomenon. People in African countries, European countries, and some Asian countries made it a global event.
You can see videos of premieres of how decked out they made the event and how people dressed up in amazing outfits for it. Amazingly beautiful and creative.
The second movie, without spoiling anything for you, was a very somber movie.
It will have you in your feels during the opening credits alone.
You could feel the emotion of the actors because to them, they lost a good friend. The performances were outstanding, and I commend all of them, the crew and Ryan Coogler for coming back and really making it a labor of love to Chadwick's memory.
There is a lot of toxic hatred being thrown around this movie because Ryan and the studio chose not to recast BP. There are people, both men and women...mostly men, who hate that this movie was carried by mostly black women. They bs about it's a "woke" film ( it's bs how they give recognition and representation a negative connotation with that word).
I'm like, it's everyone left behind that had to pick up the pieces, band together to protect their nation. Wtf is wrong with that?!
The toxic mindset is the reason why the second film didn't break the record of the first one, imo.
But regardless of what you hear about it through social media, it deserves a watch so that you can decide for yourself.
It is beautifully acted, written and directed. My only critique is that the drawn out silent moments could have been cut down in editing a little bit.

I love the different approaches with Thor's inauguration as king vs T'Challa's and Loki vs Killmonger's ascension to the throne. Loki was trying to kill all the ice giants in the first thor to gain Odin's approval to finally be worth of being an odinson. Killmonger also tries committing genocide to not gain approval of his father who told him the truth unlike Odin BUT rather to try to heal his inner inferiority complex he developed being raised in a ghetto. He wanted revenge against those he felt hurt by from the Wakandans to white people but much like Loki that was an unhealthy way of healing through his trauma

  • @TheDCbiz

M'baku is perhaps my favorite character in this film next to Shuri. He loves his country too oioe T'Challa. But oike killmonger he and his tribe have not been a part of the success of Wakanda living a more traditional life. From his pov he sees the king's son unchallenged to become king despite being his dad's bodyguard and having him killed along with a child in charge of their science division, the kings daughter. From his pov Wakanda is giving into corrupt nepotism that's unable to protect Wakanda. He honors Wakanda's traditions and laws though choosing to fairly challenge and then quit to lead his tribe. He and his people are vegetarians and help Wakanda establish a king who respects their traditions and laws but does not want his tribe dying to fight wars for a king he feel hasn't proven worth fighting for. Shuri is amazing much

  • @TheDCbiz
    @TheDCbiz ปีที่แล้ว +3

The biggest problem with killmonger's ideology unlike Loki is he used revenge and hurt it learn to destroy what hurt him. He joined the CIA and learned to destabilize nations. So when he became king of Wakanda ge only had spent all this time learning to destroy but never to rebuild. Loki learned to hide and mask his feekings and indulge himself to help mask his pain so he became king posing as Odin and just brought a new artistic age to Asgard with sculptures and theater etc

This movie is stealing KJV Bible references. NEAR THE MOVIE'S END "KILLMONGER" GIVES A HINT OF TRUTH MENTIONING SLAVE SHIPS. The same people Moses freed from Egypt that never had Egyptian names are the same people enslaved from West Africa in SHIPS. Deuteronomy 28:68 says this. And those enslaved are Hebrew Israelites that are from Jerusalem hanging out in Africa. The world made a plan to remove Hebrew Israelites from their IDENTITY through generational reconditioning. Psalms 83:4 Explains why blacks think that they are Africans. "All skin folks ain't kinfolks."
