To be fair, Wild Force did have Forever Red which tied it to the previous 9 seasons. Along with seasons before having crossovers with the previous season team
Yeah that’s very true. They did keep doing crossover episodes, and that Forever Red crossover was great! But besides those special episodes everything just started to feel very disconnected from season to season. And even some of the crossovers started to feel a lil forced. Sadly that all stems from the design of Power Rangers in general and being handcuffed by what Sentai footage is available to be used. 🤷🏻♂️ I really hope the Power Rangers brand can keep going! 🤞🤞 Thank you for watching! I know I rambled a lot. Power Rangers definitely holds a special nostalgic place in my heart.
I wish Somebody buys the Rights, & use Once & Always & Cobra Kai as a Blueprint on Evolving the IP, while keeping it Fresh, like by casting a Veteran Ranger as the Mentor each Season like Tommy was in Dino Thunder.
Bandai has created the toys for Super Sentai for decades while Takara created most of the transforming robot toys Hasbro licensed for Transformers. They are direct competitors in Japan so Hasbro isn't getting any support from Takara to design toys for a rival's IP. Power Rangers is a dieing nostalgia brand in the US while Super Sentai is a legacy franchise spread across nearly 50 years.
That’s great insight! Thank you! It’s crazy just how deep all these toy lines ties go. So much interesting and rich history. I love it! And sadly I definitely agree, Saban cut every corner he could developing Power Rangers. Like building a cheap house, just not made to last.
