@@JWSolar Nevermind work it out from the comments below. Thanks
Hi I have tried to download the rates. Firstly it does not find them in the search bar, I have to manually find them. When I hit the download button the wheel just keeps turning, I have a left it a couple of times hoping it will complete, but no joy. Any ideas how to fix it. Everything else so far appears to be really good.
Here I think is a copy of the two YAML sections:
type: custom:octopus-energy-rates-card
entity: sensor.octopus_energy_electricity_{meter}_{MPAN}_export_current_rate
title: "Export Rates"
cols: 2
showday: true
showpast: false
mediumlimit: 20
highlimit: 30
exportrates: true
type: custom:octopus-energy-rates-card
entity: sensor.octopus_energy_electricity_{meter}_{MPAN}_current_rate
title: "Import Rates"
cols: 2
showday: true
showpast: false
mediumlimit: 20
highlimit: 30
exportrates: false
You'll likely have to change the mediumlimit / highlimit to get the green/amber/red colours as you want them depending on rates in your area...
I am confused, when you add the card and talk about entity where did the code come from?
You type it, but somebody has posted the code in the comment below.
I am assuming your on the Felxi rate?
I'm on Octopus Flux, there are only 3 rates unlike Octopus Agile which has many.
@@JWSolar we have a ground source heat pump, which uses a of a lot of power, I am looking at moving to the Intelligent tariff, just to charge the batteries up in the winter at a cheaper rate.
@@StuartIngram Yes, Octopus Intelligent has the best night rate, but bear in mind that you must have an Octopus compatible EV or Charger to sign up. Unfortunately I don't have an EV, so will be charging my battery at a higher rate on a different tariff.
@@JWSolar oh so you have to have an ev charger. 😞That's a shame.
@@JWSolar Hi, I have gone for the Octopus Cosy rate, this is good for me as it has two cheep charge times one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
