Thank you for checking out the video! We really hope to get the information out the and keep the community updated with the latest news and more in depth videos on Sorcery! 😉
A couple price typos: Non-Foil P stone is listed as 200-250 and should be $600-$900, Non-foil mixes listed at $25-$25 and I think it should be $25-$40. You guys always have good info. Thank you for your videos.
@@CardboardGuide Just saw the section on how will Alpha prices be affected by Beta set release. It would be interesting to see the history of how Alpha MTG prices were affected by Beta's release. The parallels between MTG and Sorcery are undeniable. I expect Alpha prices to dip. Foils, besides the alpha symbol will be identical I believe. I expect Beta foils to be just as beautiful and so the premium for an Alpha will go down. At least for now. Frank cards will go up in price as the original art won't be available in Beta. Thinking ahead to unlimited, unless there are significant differences, in the cards, unlimited will drag both Alpha and beta card prices down as we won't see a white bordered unlimited set. Maybe card backs will be different?
@@johneicher7914 We are actually very unsure about how the pricing will go. We have expected to see a tiny dip, but at least something when the US market got fulfilled with the Kickstarter, but it didn't happen. I believe that a lot of the speculation around the prices between Alpha and Beta respectively will be completely dependent on the print run of Beta. So far, we don't know about and Unlimited set. The names used for future sets in the official Discord have been Arthurian Legends, Revised, Mini Dragon set (art by Ed Beard Jr.), and that is it. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, they change along the way.
@@johneicher7914 Not directly translatable as Alpha was initially less sought after for a while because it would be a couple of years before Ultra Pro would release their black backed sleeves, meaning if you had alpha cards, you could only play with alpha cards.
Thank you for the kind comment! It has been a community effort with kind people, like yourself sending information, pictures, and tagging me when they see a Curio. 🙏🏻
Absolutely, and the latest Curio card, found the day after this video, is very subtle and fun! Thank you for watching and taking time to leave us a kind comment. 🙌
Thanks, that is very cool to hear, that is our mission with these video to get the information out there to the community, so people are informed and know what to look for when opening product.
Very informative. Maybe you could record another one in the future: a bit slower and showing the regular vs the curio version next to each other (n/a for all cards - i know). Keep it up
Noted! We have done quite a few videos that are more in depth on recognising and showing the Curio cards and how to spot them, but we could definitely do another soon and updated version since new Curio cards has been found since the last one. Thanks for checking out the video!

I'm not sure how much these cards are worth, but I do know each one is gorgeous. The old school font is a big plus and fits with the style of the game tremendously. If the game gets popular, people are going to cherish and prize these cards, and the price will skyrocket. It's all determined by how successful the game is. Magic, it seems, is an indestructible collosus.
Thanks for checking out the video! I think that cards are great and the box opening experience is one of the best, because there is constantly something new (many cards in the set), a lot of great art (and the layout of the ecard is very well done), the added surprise of a foil every now and then, and finally the chance of pulling a Curio. The game seemed to garner a lot of attention at Gen Con with sold out events and people reporting that draft, constructed and learn to play all were great experiences.
I think the thing I am getting the most tired of is the constant need for Universes Beyond and little “extra” stuff with each set. I look forward to enjoying Wilds of Eldraine though.
I plan to keep hold of two sealed alpha precons. Hoping they become more valuable given they have the elemental avatars which will not be included in the beta pre cons. The alphas ones are also confirmed to have more uniques as well.
We are also keeping one sealed for our collection. 😉 The elemental avatars themselves are actually only in non-foil in the precons, and very rare as a foil in the Alpha boxes and we don’t know if they will see a reprint ever.
Thanks for checking out the videos! We try to keep the videos the length that they need to be to deliver the information and at the same time respect our viewers time by keeping up the pace, but some video definitely hit the 10 minute mark due to the amount of conversation. ;)
My favourite curio by far is the mirrored mirror realm - Ill be opening my box on sunday hopefully, really hoping to be pulling this one 🙏 Great video guys, thank you for the insight! ❤
We will have you in our thoughts and fingers crossed for a Mirror Realm Curio card for you! 🤞🏻 Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to leave a comment, we appreciate it! 🙌🏻❤️
Are you thinking of the prices of product and cards or the Curios? In both cases the price range are from sold items, some given privately and some registered sales from eBay. 😉 The full list to see which is which is on the Discord.
Sealed product sales price should rise or fall to meet the demand for it on the open market. So its really not a matter of what is a "fair" price to me, but what some are willing to pay. Right now boxes are on the downward trend to 700 dollars per box roughly. As expensive as that might seem, this is down 300 bucks from roughly a high of 1000 bucks per box of sealed alpha. The reason it got as high as 1k per box was due to the insane demand for cracking sorcery product, in leu of beta that has yet to release later on in the year. Now that the whales have bought into getting their product a lot of demand has subsided and now prices are once again falling and trending downward. Depending on how popular or unpopular the game is to play will cause ebbs and flows in price of sealed boxes. I really would keep an eye on Sorcery TCG post Gencon to see if its success at the con helped drive interest on the open market. Boxes could start to climb if it did.
Sealed product has made a small retracement in the last week, not a lot, but just going down from near $1000 for a sealed box to more around the $850 for a bucks. I absolutely agree, there was a very high demand for cracking boxes, some for content, some for box breaks, and some for collecting and selling singles, that has cooled off a little -at least for now. I think the idea of seeing how Gen Con affected the interest and perhaps bringing in more players, but I still think even if new people come into the game, most would be willing to wait for Beta, but if new collectors come in we could see a small uptick.
Nope, but I will say a lot are not selling at the moment, indicating that the prices might be at a higher level than what the market is willing to pay. It seems like the prices are taking a very small dip, but overall the Curio cards are not within the reach of most people.
@@christopherk7920 I think the Curios are super difficult to discuss in general terms, some are much more highly sought after than other and some of them will definitely remain pretty high value, but ultimately it depends on the success of the game going forward. It is clear that there is a lot of interest, but most people are not willing to pay more than the price of a booster box for them, regardless of how rare they are.
