They're actually singing over or under as some may say a backing track- their mics are on but down very low - most people lip sync on Daybreak so it's not just them.
In the beginning, Vanessa and Rochelle's mics were producing loud, but low vocals. Then as the performance went on, only Vanessa was still giving live vocals.. The echoes in the beginning were a mess.. The sound engineer definitely screwed up. I wouldve been pissed
ITV released an official statement not long after this performance apologising to The Saturdays because ITV had problems with their sound. So it's not the Sats fault
I love this song and I hope it goes to #1 they are long overdue a number one single! However, the miming thing is something I notice more. It seems that the performances are mostly live yet they always use studio parts for Mollie and Frankie. I know the chorus is playback because it gives more strength in the song, but it always seems like Mollie and Frankies parts are never live.
Im in love with these girls, and will stay in love with them whether or not the decide to mime......but I can't understand why ya'll would want to do it? You girls are so talented.

It wasn't the girls' manager's choice either. They've told every producer they sing only live but the standard in america is lip sync with little to no actual talent, so the producers DID 'technically' let them sing live, you just can't hear them fully and all the smoke and mirrors to make up for the fact they arent allowed to sing live, just makes them sound worse all together. Watch their performance on Wendy Williams..now THAT was fucking awkward and you can tell they aren't happy about it.
I love them but the miming in this performance stands out alot, Especially with the odd live vocal appearing over it, Either fully mime or fully sing live because this 50/50 is pretty awful. Hope they get their Number 1 though :)

I usually like The Saturdays....but this is terrible!!! Sorry girls!!! they aren't good live if I'm honest...even worse when they mime! kudos to them when they do sing live....because that's what they are supposed to be getting paid for! if you can't sing AND dance...then just sing??!
