Still bangs 5 years later
hearing this, I miss choir and all the girls in it. if only I could do it again. :)
Hey, I know you don't know me but I am singing this song for state in a couple of weeks and wanted to know if you had any tips??
I remember preforming this song and making me feel so much. My heart chakra is full hearing this again I’m 2022.
i miss singing with this choir so much...this was everyone's favorite song and i'm so proud that we did it justice
man this song almost brought tears to my eyes singing it... and it still has the same effect to my eyes to this day.. entirely beautiful.
I remember our first rehearsal with the oboe and flute players and the men's choir was on break so they listened in and we all got so into it half of us were crying after it. Best moment that entire convention!
I was so happy to be in this choir. It was such amazing experience! I will never forget how the men's choir came and listened and at least half of them were in tears.
WHY on Earth would anyone DISLIKE this?!?!?! It's, so, BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
I cried when we were performing this. So many good memories!
My women's choir sang this at our concert on Friday night, and it was amazing to sing!
When I was in choir I performed that piece several times and had been in 3 different sections for it. I’m not religious but that was always one of my favorites, and a favorite of the others as well. The way you felt the music in your core was incredible to experience
I miss All-State so much! We had a blast performing this. SUCH a moving song.
this was my favorite piece to sing for auditions (sadly i didn't make it) but now i'm writing a refective essay over psalms 23 for college and i'm using my experience from learning this song and all the emotion i had to put in it for my essay
When I performed this , my aunt had passed away . Such a beautiful song
I sang this in my Senior year Allstate honor choir in TN❤️❤️💯 memories with my besties Shyann Washington and Meagan Barton now🥰💯❤️
I cried at one of our practices wen we sang this song!!! Best song of all!!!
I remember when a high school womens choral sang this at the PAC. The last " Lauda" seemed to echo and go on forever.
I'm excited to preform this song at our fall concert! 4 rehearsals left!!!
perfect. beautiful. i got chills and i heard angels. i now really want to sing this for solo/ensemble.
I'm thankful that all your wonderful voices grace this planet with such beauty.
I remember this...makes me miss high school.. And choir
the chamber group with 7th and 8th graders sang this last year. they did it so perfect. no mistakes what so ever. I wasn't in chamber last year but I am in chamber and I'm so looking forward to the song my conductor picks for us this year
The man who wrote this song invited my choir to sing at Chicago next year :)
This is without a doubt the most memorial piece of mine from high school. I moved to Oklahoma before this final performance happened but I absolutely loved practicing this every day in choir leading up to the auditions. Goosebumps and tears every time!
I normally don't like women's choruses that much...but this...this is absolute perfection. Been listening to this on repeat for days. Well done, Texas ladies. :D
Oh my gosh! I wish I could have heard that in person. That is just perfection!
I was there, and It truly was a beautiful performance. Love being a Director.
Currently learning how to sing this piece in Highschool, I love it 🥰

4:44 that HIGH NOTE I HEAR YOU SISTER GIRL!!! YAAAAASSSS #shoutout to Stonypoint High school 🐯
There is no all state like texas all state
Omg, this is so beautiful. I wish I could have sang this...
You could never tell these ladies are from texas! Amazing!
Right after the TMEA Mixed Choir performed, I had to go run to my hotel room, change out of my choir uniform, and run back to the same performance hall just in time to hear the mid-ending of this song performed by this same choir through a crack right outside a door! I felt like I was on Mission Impossible 11! xD It felt epic, running and dodging through crowds of people on the riverwalk trying to make it to this recorded performance of this song!
I loved singing these
AMAZING! this is my goal!!
I have to make my ACDA recording for this song tomorrow and I still don't have the breathing down🙃
Omgggg I remember thiss😍😍 I really miss high school
i LOVE the high C at 4:45
SO beautiful.... the picture at 1:40 though.
Omg I remember this I was a 10 th grader then...it is beautiful :)
What is that big building?
The high C gives me chills.
Oh GOD!!!!! That oboe needed to TUNE before this recording!!!
I love this!!
Beautiful!
@chinatwin15 I heard that the mixed choir had 25 hour rehearsals each day. O_O
Heavenly!
@Overkillius Lol that certainly is not true. xD But whenever we do rehearse, it is rather very intense and magical. If you are searching for a definite answer of how much/long we rehearse each day, I would say we rehearsed for about 4-5 hours in the morning and 7-8 hours in the afternoon/evening each day.
IM IN HERE! woo!
Beautiful
Amen to that!
@sexyking19 I will post some of those up later on this week :)
i love it
That oboe in the beginning is INSANELY out of tune😭
And to think I was one round away from being in this recording. Ugh!
The oboist is flat and needs to work on tone development. Long tones and pointing the air down will help
your right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Sopranooos >.o
omg the first phrase from the clarinet was absolutely terrible :(((( but you beautiful texas women made up for it completely :)
@Tommiewashere I know its amazing
UGH! INTONATION OBOE! The ladies are doing a fantastic job, and its extremely jarring when someone is just blatantly out of tune like that.
@sexyking19 ill try I have to have some free time though :)
That damn oboe......smh
I love this song so much! I remember singing it in my Varsity Choir freshmen year. It was very emotional and it gave me goosebumps every time we sang it! :)
SO TRUE
Me to (:
