I have to agree that this is among the cruellest of scams. I've heard from so many people who have lost money down to this exact scam. And there are soooo many players involved; from the fake adverts, the people selling the victim data, the 'trading' platform and, of course, the people on the phones. Nice vid!

Imagine working with an 'investment manager' for several months, then you say you want to sell, and they tell you stuff like 'you are not gonna sell', 'you aren't thinking about me', and cussing you out. That's gotta be the moment when a victim realizes they're a victim, and it's gotta be so crushing. Thank you for doing what you're doing, man.
Had a close friend lose a relatively large amount of money to these and I had to be the one to tell him it was a scam. It’s soul crushing. He had just lost his job and been through a really rough divorce. I can’t even imagine what he was feeling at the time.
To be fair, if this had been a real investment, him selling just because it went down a few dollars first thing after trading started was a bonehead move. A fiduciary who actually has your best interest in mind is going to advise you against selling while the market is down, because that's the case where you realize your losses. Instead it's better to buy while the market is down and that lowers your cost average so your profits are higher.
It's kinda like when you have a completely legitimate stocks portfolio with a certified broker in the EU and then when your multibillion dollar broker goes bankrupt because of some internal fraud in their business... well, they will only give you back 20K Euro. Holy crap. The mood the scammer's personality puts you in almost makes you forget she's trying to steal from you. It's actually fucking scary dude. You can't even trust your emotions when you're getting scammed because they are getting manipulated
She sounds like she has a slight russian accent to me. Possibly educated in the west and now back in Russia with a failing economy and needs a way to make money. That'd be my guess
A Dutch journalist made a documentary about this scam and found out that the scammers work from Malta and have several groups for different countries/languages.They have many appartments, a complete street with callcenters and even work together with the cybersecurity department of the local police. The journalist wanted to make a report at the police because he found out so much and their location. Instead of going after the criminals, the police warned them about the journalist. Most of them came from Israel.
My aunt was one of the “3rd party leads” she gave leads of victims to a bunch of scammers in Jamaica… our whole family didn’t know exactly how she was making all this money but then the FBI caught on and she got in big trouble after doing this for 13 years. She went to federal prison. She was sentenced eight years but only served for and now she’s on house arrest
With how many scammers he talks to and has talked to in the past it's disturbing to hear Kit say that these are the best he's ever come across. Bit disheartening too tbh.
always someone better or smarter in this world. He's usually dealing with less educated, less experienced. If she was really good, he'd send another $200. Like in some movie where a married guy is on the brink of failure and is convinced to invest more so he will change the loss to a gain. (the company was about to be raided and got his boss to authorize a refund to the Dad.)
@@deansuttle8438 Yes, obviously. He would not have sent the first 200 except it was an investment towards educating us. Oh how I wish he had gotten inside the computer of the "5 billion dollar company." Some credit to his wife
It’s scary how good some of these scammers can be. It’s easy to spot when they have thick Indian accents, bad grammar, and get angry when you say “you’re kidding me.” But it’s different when they’re charismatic and have incredible language context. These are dangerous people.
i have always found the charismatic friendly scammers to be much scarier, sometimes you even forget that kit is talking to a scammer. Angry and edgy scammers are more fun and surprisingly relaxing to watch coz you know most people aren't gonna fall prey to them.
You can be as charismatic as you want, multiple hundred percent profit without doing anything, all thanks to the power of AI? People need to stop being so gullible, honestly.
I fell for this scam. I initially sent $320. Then $8,000 over 7 or 8 months. Then some other ppl took over. I was confused. I eventually thought this might not be right. So I started to email my Australian consumer affairs etc and places like that. I then started getting the scammers calling me asking me if I'd been scammed. They offered to help me get the money back. I fell for that one twice. The only reason I stopped wanting to get my money back was because I gave away $8,000 then gave away $3,500 trying to get it back. I thought, a few more thousand, and it will be, spend $8,000 to get $8,000 back. I had to face the fact that I was scammed and I gave away $11,500 of my money. A very hard pill to swallow. But, you live and learn 😊😢❤
I remember this call live. I definitely agree, that woman is scary good. Her pretending to laugh with you was impressive. The monkeys thing was absolutely ridiculous, but it is the ultimate proof of her being a scammer. No legit company would ever avoid correcting you on that. Her panicking later when you start talking about fishing rods and trying to sell, that was great how you could make someone that good at scamming freak out. She really wanted that money. JIM IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see more of you guys working together!
Crikey, my dad fell for something similar to this years ago. His "account manager" was super nice as well, seemed educated and well cultured. Really, really dangerous.
From nice to evil at the snap of two fingers. Speaking of acting crazy, she accuses you of acting crazy and in reality she has gone completely crazy. No lawful company can ignore a SELL demand. Good work, again, Kitboga.
I have been reporting the scams for a while, but I always get the answer that the ads are not against community guidelines and Will not be removed. So I just quit reporting. Even with evidence, YT does nothing.
OMG yes, I get many of those get rich quick "ads" which usually never explains how exactly they do it until you've taken the bait. It's not even a small group. It's a large syndicate so that they can make it seem real by making the victim look stupid for not joining in on their scheme. They're also so filthy rich it's hard to take them down as well.
@@phoenixflambe3319 the best way to attempt "taking them down" is by combating youtube, I got my AB specially for this site and it's disabled for dozens of sites I do actually want to support, cause (it might be different with you, but) YT is honestly the only website I get scam ads in. If they can't figure their shit out they will keep losing money from me
Its also one of the reasons why their campaign against adblock was just so bad lol. Maybe I'd be more fine with it if they actually did something about ads like this, but nope-
It was crazy to see how hard she worked to become your friend. No wonder so many people fall for these scams, a piece of loneliness is taken away. Thanks for doing this video
I agree with your wife. Don't feel bad that you had to send the scammers some money - you didn't really have a choice with this scam, and besides, you did it to help stop potentially thousands of people from losing so much money. I've heard about people who have fallen for scams and they've lost their entire life savings, money they've put away for their retirement, EVERYTHING. You're doing a really great thing, exposing these evil people, so please don't stop!
I’m glad I can always spot and avoid those people, they usually notice I see through their bs so we never talk much, they switch targets fast. I find I can make myself likeable if I just flatter others and agree with what they say but I hate being fake. Id rather have a small circle with people with similar views and personalities than be liked by people I dislike. As far as being fake with others for tangible gains, that would be out of the question.
Yep, I’ve seen a similar advert on FB too. One with Elon Musk and another with Richard Branson. Both videos stated I was randomly picked for a one time only chance of a lucrative future, and that I would never see the video again. Elons video really impressed me as Elon didn’t stutter or trip over his words once. I want his vocal coach! 😂
Facebook's reporting system is a joke, I've reported so many obvious scams, fake accounts, animal abuse and illegal content - every time comes back as "not being against community standards" despite a "manual review"
Cheers Kit 😊 I've seen this too, disgusting people. They need jail time. I was scammed and hacked when I was 21, I'll always remember. Thank you for all you do x
the thing i always hear which makes the most sense is this - if these people had a 100% fool proof plan to exponentially increase YOUR money, why are they not doing that with THEIR money.

This is so sad… the level of commitment and knowledge this woman demonstrates, she could be a real investor and portfolio manager! Not only is she harming real people but betraying herself when she has real potential.
If you can make thousands of dollars a week on an investment, you are not going to see commericals for it, because the money class will want to corner the market on whatever it is. You see advertisements only when the money is being made off of you.
Just because it’s not advertised doesn’t mean it’s not available. You never see ads enticing you to do dollar cost averaging into no load index funds but it’s one of the easiest way to reliably invest. Sure it won’t make you a millionaire overnight - but anything like that, if it’s even real, is incredibly risky, and the only person who reliably will make money is the one pushing it, scammer or not.
@@Sashazur i think you misunderstood, the OP said "If you can make thousands of dollars a week on an investment...", meaning the option is there if you specifically look for it but it's just not advertised to you. you obviously understand that too but he was saying what you've explained but yeah any kind of "smart and safe" way of making bank will be jealously guarded and you should never trust anyone who says "i got rich off this". they're making the last of their money selling courses and no rich stranger with anything to gain wants what's best for you

Holy crap. The mood the scammer's personality puts you in almost makes you forget she's trying to steal from you. It's actually fucking scary dude. You can't even trust your emotions when you're getting scammed because they are getting manipulated

Her English, manners, and manipulation emotionally was top notch.

Where can i watch this docu ?
My aunt was one of the “3rd party leads” she gave leads of victims to a bunch of scammers in Jamaica… our whole family didn’t know exactly how she was making all this money but then the FBI caught on and she got in big trouble after doing this for 13 years. She went to federal prison. She was sentenced eight years but only served for and now she’s on house arrest
Gotta love the Kim Possible reference at 8:37 xD
Kit Possible
With how many scammers he talks to and has talked to in the past it's disturbing to hear Kit say that these are the best he's ever come across. Bit disheartening too tbh.
Hahahaha ....
always someone better or smarter in this world. He's usually dealing with less educated, less experienced. If she was really good, he'd send another $200. Like in some movie where a married guy is on the brink of failure and is convinced to invest more so he will change the loss to a gain. (the company was about to be raided and got his boss to authorize a refund to the Dad.)
Anyone with a gambling problem would fall for this sunk cost fallacy stuff

It’s scary how good some of these scammers can be. It’s easy to spot when they have thick Indian accents, bad grammar, and get angry when you say “you’re kidding me.” But it’s different when they’re charismatic and have incredible language context. These are dangerous people.
I said the same thing, so much scarier than someone with a heavy accent on the other end of the phone
I just think you never do any money stuff with anyone on the phone or online.
I reeeaally don't get how anyone ever, ever falls for this shit.
It's a perfect example of the kind of sociopaths and manipulative people that are out there. Avoid them and you'll be happier for it.
i have always found the charismatic friendly scammers to be much scarier, sometimes you even forget that kit is talking to a scammer.

Crikey, my dad fell for something similar to this years ago. His "account manager" was super nice as well, seemed educated and well cultured. Really, really dangerous.
From nice to evil at the snap of two fingers. Speaking of acting crazy, she accuses you of acting crazy and in reality she has gone completely crazy. No lawful company can ignore a SELL demand. Good work, again, Kitboga.
Worst part is TH-cam actively advertises scams like those, for MANY YEARS now. This and casinos, it's why I have adblocker honestly
If they can't figure their shit out they will keep losing money from me
TH-cam is part of the big scam.
Especially, when the targets are often lonely old ppl
I agree with your wife. Don't feel bad that you had to send the scammers some money - you didn't really have a choice with this scam, and besides, you did it to help stop potentially thousands of people from losing so much money. I've heard about people who have fallen for scams and they've lost their entire life savings, money they've put away for their retirement, EVERYTHING. You're doing a really great thing, exposing these evil people, so please don't stop!
I died at the Kim Possible reference!! 😂 8:23
That woman was so good at acting manipulative, I can’t imagine how scary it must be to have her as a friend or partner lol
Kinda sucks to see people still falling for anything with "Quantum" in the name.

I reported an Elon musk ai scam advert on Facebook once… they replied saying there was nothing wrong with it, never bothered again.
I reported a scam at least twice and every time I was told the post didn't go against community standards. Now I don't bother.
The scammers paying for ads are Facebook’s real customers. The users are the product.
The main problem is that you're using Facebook.
Facebook's reporting system is a joke, I've reported so many obvious scams, fake accounts, animal abuse and illegal content - every time comes back as "not being against community standards" despite a "manual review"
It was satisfying hearing Lana freak out near the end, especially since she was more charismatic and convincing than scammers usually are.
Cheers Kit 😊 I've seen this too, disgusting people. They need jail time. I was scammed and hacked when I was 21, I'll always remember. Thank you for all you do x

If you can make thousands of dollars a week on an investment, you are not going to see commericals for it, because the money class will want to corner the market on whatever it is. You see advertisements only when the money is being made off of you.
The whole GameStop fiasco proves that we’re only allowed the crumbs from their table.
exactly
Just because it’s not advertised doesn’t mean it’s not available. You never see ads enticing you to do dollar cost averaging into no load index funds but it’s one of the easiest way to reliably invest. Sure it won’t make you a millionaire overnight - but anything like that, if it’s even real, is incredibly risky, and the only person who reliably will make money is the one pushing it, scammer or not.
@@Sashazur i think you misunderstood, the OP said "If you can make thousands of dollars a week on an investment...", meaning the option is there if you specifically look for it but it's just not advertised to you. you obviously understand that too but he was saying what you've explained
