The hermit is not looking for the horizon. He might find one. But could as easily find a cave, an inviting Inn or a fellow traveler. He remembers his path back and knows he could take it back without his staff, but it’s too early. It’s in himself where his footing is still in need of a third leg and a couple more strides.
One’s hermit however can be trained to fit the busy and modern agendas. What other arcanas support him and what creates resistance? He needs to know the landscape downhill or uphill he is traveling. Not to hasten his journey, but to choose how much risk he’s willing to take.

You'll recognize this, I've been crossing the river and yelling for everyone to come over, when I should be taking one stone at a time and holding my hand out for anyone wanting to follow.

I pulled this card this morning and so thankful for your words. Totally relating to the message you’ve shared. Going on 2 yrs sobriety and becoming more aware of my emotions and triggers. This shit ain’t easy and definitely feel selfish when I take time for myself. Working on getting through that so I may go deeper within for my greatest and highest good for myself and loved ones. Thank you!

it's definitely not selfish if you become more beautiful version of you

Everyone needs their own time. It's sad you felt that way. My husband does his thing, I do mine then we're our real selves to meet in the middle. It makes a good relationship and healthier minds.
