To be really honest, I liked the third train because it had two of the most prime examples of what has worked for railroads to what has not in an SD90MAC to what has worked in the SD70ACE. The difference in size let alone horsepower tells the tail. One of the 90MAC's biggest problems is wheel slippage when trying to lug heavy trains. I'd take a 70ACE over a 90MAC anyday. I know they are still popular in the Northwest but smaller is better.
