Hair damage (rukhe bejan baal) is more than just split ends. Extremely damaged hair develops cracks in the outside layer (cuticle). Once the cuticle lifts (opens), your hair is at risk for further damage and breakage. It may also look dull or frizzy hair and be difficult to manage.
Fizziness is caused by Dry Hair that lacks moisture. Ironically, humid, wet weather tends to make frizzy hair (rukhe khushk baal) worse. That’s because dry hair tries to absorb moisture out of the air, causing each hair’s cuticle, or outer layer, to swell up, instead of lying flat. The cuticle comprises overlapping scales, which separate and rise in moist air. This makes hair look frizzy.
Dry & Frizzy hair can be treated (rukhe bejan balon ka fori ilaj/elaj) easily with some simple lifestyle changes like avoid shampooing your hair every day, condition your hair every time you wash it, avoid chemical hair treatments, & avoid flat irons, curling irons, and electric rollers.
