The -1 block and the unlimited summon of the boss and can't forget the invisible enemies in the left side is WAY TOO OVERKILL took me a whole day to formulate a strat without a guide!. The event is fun but the boss is REALLY ANNOYING. Ya is 8/10 ain't doing this rerun again
The hidden blessing of the CM was that -1 block made your casters invincible from all the spawning dudes. This means you could set up a conga-line of casters/snipers with healers and buffers of your choice. I had a Skalter and Reed Alter on S2, which meant that I could blend anything walking up there. The entire lane is also perfect for Ifrit to BBQ the spawning enemies. I think I used Ceobe/Skalter/GG/Reed on the elevated lane with Chongus, Blaze and Gladiia on the top lanes (only very few enemies spawn in the very top one so Gladiia's effective Block 1 was fine). Then I used Saria and Thorns on the left and finally borrowed a Mlynar to nuke the boss on the second phase. I was swapping Mlynar and Kay as each was on cooldown.
@@Zinras well it's as you say -1 block makes high ground operators not block enemies but if your lacking DPS or sustainability then the challenge is pretty much impossible if you also include the RNG of the summons which Ya summon the shielders and you don't have a good caster operator then it's already a gg. So I just abuse the 3 blue womans, a red explosive bird,3 horses and definitely not a meta dual wielding black wolf that Kataokasan's favorite character to clear the challenge :V just barely clearing if tho.
Yea idk where ppl got problems from the CM BRUH normal mode is harder with those enemies flooding my ranged units for duck sake As for the left side, if you kill the boss clone on bot lane before the portal, only the swordy bois come from left and the lane can be solo'd by lots of ops. Ifrit is so good in this map btw. Skalter+her plus a line of blockers = total carnage of the waves incoming. As for the boss, I Surtr+NTR phase 1, cleared phase 2 with Mlynar, and killed the clone on bot lane with Chalter.
well today i learned that there was a tell for which boss was the real one 😂😂 and i'm glad i'm not the only one who malded for an hour on this ex stage o7 i loved the editing, thank you for clipping this, it was beautiful!
4 block modules - hoshi, heavyrain, matterhorn. Or Vigil's wolf retains 3 block on CM mode. Or just level 90. Kukki: you never need level 90, even though maxed exia kills boss in 1 rotation with warfarin. Also kukki:
I got it with brute force before running out of drills, so less than 7 attempts? but I was like no that can't be right. so I watched kyo. and if you stall phase 1 with a ground unit (block 2 guard probably like thorns) you can get all the time in the world to set up for phase 2. to basically spawn kill phase 2. which I did with warfarin buffing rosa and wasting him with s3. eventually. After watching Kyo. before then I just killed the boss as fast as possible with everything I had and tried to hold on to redeploy chen alter to guard the goal. which worked in drill, but not the answer I used in actually doing the stage. our resident idiot in Discord also cleared it before running out of drills, kukki is just throwing for content.
I watched Kyo and didn''t bother to think. The moment I saw -1 block, I knew I didn't have enough braincell for that shiet, I was already struggling with killing Yaoi anw (No Eben, no Pozemka, no Mlynar or any of the boss attacker range unit except Passenger, Eyja and SilverAsh)
Yeah, sounds about right. I was also banging my head against the wall that was -1 block for about an hour or so. Probably the hardest CM condition on a boss in a while. Takes a true sane dokutah to do this stage without brute forcing.
Fun fact: the -1 block doesn't affect vigil's doggos, but it can't survive a bunch of big shield guys hitting it :( though it's good at killing the fast beasts.
As someone with a completely max pot and m9 penance, I actually found Mudrock was better at holding the leftside, because she can AFK it easily with her s2 vs having to manually activate Penance's skills.
The modules for Ceobe and Eyja are just so good! They finish ya phase 1 before it moves. Also there i just realised there is Ifrit lane which is where ya first spawned, i planned for Ifrit and Suzuran to deal with the top one while Iwami Manaka duo kill the bottom, but Ceobe is just too strong she just stay there and kill the boss to!!
damn the solution was right before your eyes.... besieger prioritizes the heaviest enemy. i killed second phase of the boss with Rosa s2m3, since she targets both of its forms with it and handles it quite easily (with a small help from her friends little fox and uncle horse)
This stage was so infuriating. Had to choke up on the lanes so much just to keep everything under control and still had to use nearly every aoe op I have.
The challenge stage was defintely a DPS check for me...brought Schwarz, Pozy, Mylnar, Gnosis and Skadi Alter to manage the boss. Plus I had some tight retreats and redeploys so Phantom and TexAlter could help keep the main lanes managed. Horn on the left side of the screen facing right was a lifesaver.
I remember suffering on this event when it came out on CN, I didn’t do so bad this time around because I realised thorns doesn’t actually work here and switched for Irene
somehow I used Hoshi (module with extra block), Bleme, and dusk to hold up most of the top lane (featuring mlynar) and Mudrock held the left. Mlynar killed the boss with suzuran help because I didn’t trust him and then I used eyja to help finish the enemies off. It took HOURS to clear that god awful level and a lot of praying
This level was pretty tough, i used schwarz, carnelian and lin to kill the boss and ifrit to deal with the big wave of enemies, it's interesting to see different strategies for these tough levels.
I actually use Rossa to kill both of em in different lane. I forgot her defense is so small that Rossa's passive won't help much on this boss. But still does the job somehow. And that single lane with sand assasin can be blocked by Kal'tsit, just activate S3 moment before he hit your Mont3r with his attack
The boss is not a problem in any way but oh boy, the Dev who thought it was a good idea to put -1 block in CM and the spam mobs to be random deserves the hate of the community forever.
That one was tough, it took me one or two hours I made a freaking line of defense with blaze, gavialter, horn, saria, reed alter and nuked the boss with mlynar + schwartz + friend's posy. Don't forget texalter as well because more power. I went all out.
Reed S2, Stainless S3, Blemi S2, La Pluma, and Highmore really help on that top lane to cut through the garbage. Let the reapers go ape on his turrets. Then just use any of the high burst meta to delete the boss. That's the easy part.
My strat for this boss is to stall Phase 1 Ya using Gladiia + Lumen near enemy spawn then deal with the enemies whilst preparing my Rosa + Exu + Shamare set up at the top lane and CasterAmiya + Lin at the bottom, snipers and debuffers demolishes Phase 2 Ya and True Damage Amiya doesn't care about his Res while Lin does the tanking for a while and waveclearing the infinite spawn! Then Spalter guards the left lane solo with her immortality! I felt like an absolute genius having thought of this strat myself for an hour lol
I finished this stage, i think. Idk how tho. Probably wont be able to do again. Tbh i really enjoyed your ex boss stage because of its unique mechanics. Even though its a pain to make that kind of video.
I used the ancient technique of overkill for this event. Good old chen alter solved the bottom lane (even without masteries) but I did have to borrow a Saria to help the top lane gavial alter. This event was pretty good, not quite as hard as Il Siricusano was (though my ops are better now) but nothing can top the madness that Stultifera gave me.
The solution over malding on the boss switching is to kill both of them. You nuke phase 1 with whatever and then have 2 ops for the phase 2 and the clone. Problem solved. I used Chalter facing down for the bot lane clone, and Mlynar facing up so he helps with top lane for the mid lane 'real boss', both of them died before walking more than 4 tiles. As for not leaking on top, Skalter+Ifrit trivializes it, then you just have to have four blockers (2-3 block, not 1 block lol) to keep the rush contained.
My strategy for this stage was: Blaze +Saria + Eyja for the mobs (also Mudrock on the top left later) Mlynar + Skalter + Shamare for the 1st phase Exu + Warfarin + Elysium + Shamare for killing either the boss or it's clone at he bottom After that, it was just a matter of holding the line until Mlynar redeploys finishing of the boss. Might have not been the most efficient strategy but I managed to make it work.
I spent nearly 9+ hours trying to beat this stage with my low rarity ops + 2 6stars (I am only 3 months old). as hellish as that was, it was genuinely fun to try different comps to see if I can beat the stage 🤣🤣🤣 And yes, I did beat it eventually (Texas Alter came in clutch) and got the medal set 😁😁😁
I was struggling so fucking bad until i pulled out mostima her s3 came in clutch when the enemies started piling up and alter gavial to pull the enemies back
lol, i managed to do the CM on this with mlynar+ a borrowed suzuran for the 2nd phase. 1st form pozy solo s3 i think. For bottom mirage, warfed up exia. Kill the boss right away, both forms. then theres like 3 or 4 tiles in total that spawn stuff and it's really not that bad to deal with the trash mob/heavy lanes.
WB-EX-8 CM is arguably the hardest stage we've had since Ideal City at the beginning of the year. The laneholding pressure is just insane. Reed the Flame Shadow was an MVP for my early attempts because her S3 can handle an infinite amount of those enemies for its duration, before I found the Suzuran + Młynar + Pozy combo to spawncamp Ya so they could only make a few spawn tiles. Vifer's runs were a blast because chat gradually coached him into the most textbook high-end clear. I enjoy stages that are a challenge even with a full meta squad. WB-EX-8 CM can be made easy, but if you don't understand the stage, brute-forcing it is especially difficult because if you don't set up correctly for the boss they'll make a lot of spawn tiles, which makes it increasingly likely to get hit with phalanx spam. Even if only the main lane is filled with spawn tiles, it's just way too much without excellent AoE/CC; if the top row and left lane also get spawn tiles, that's a trainwreck. The upside is your ranged units are unblockable, like in CC11. Having enemies stuck to my ranged units in non-CM was the most annoying part of that. Also, that editing style is aggressively unfunny. It's just "lol random XD" low-quality meme spam for people with 5-second attention spans who always need a video screaming in their face.
I'd say ideal city was significantly easier unless you insist on not using the cars. The cars absolutely wreck most of the difficulty when configured properly.
@@DuraLexSedLex The IC S stages are balanced around mastery of the car. I'm judging them by how difficult they would be to brute-force if you don't understand the mechanics. The Whiskey-Grade Waker-Uppers are some of the most diabolically overtuned enemies the game has released. Admittedly, my roster was much less developed back then, so I'll have to wait for the rerun to pass my verdict, but I found WB-EX-8 CM more straightfoward to figure out, though it does have harsher unavoidable stat checks, which I think is what your point is.
@@CobaltSthenia Mostly yes. Also the Waker Uppers arent even that bad to bruteforce if you have decent arts damage to throw at them (unironically a case of "just surtr it" if youre going with brute force in a lot of cases)
The boss is pretty annoying, it took me about the same time to punch through this stage CM as well. I'm really limiting myself to use 10 ops max for any operation I'm playing and this stage just had me using full 10 ops to clear it.
I needed all the power I could get to beat this stage. WB-EX-8 CM is hell and I'm stupid because the first fight I though Yan was a mid boss with no hard mechanics.
When the stage -1, Lin is no longer useful. And for some reason Skalter is really needed to cover the increased enemy stat. Pozy is another logical pick, but my friend saying she's quite underwhelming. With this video i can confirm Chalter is the ultimate answer. Tho my other friend opted Mlynar over Chalter. The stage is truly pain lmao. We can sing 'we are japanese goblin' along the way.
i mean i brought both of them as my "ya killer duo" and prayed that Ya swaps in time before they both kill the illu walking down bottom lane. for some reason, this doesn't consistently happen even if i do exact skill activation timings.
@@JP-iq5pg Well if he swaps, it brings trouble for sure. With the left lane mostly delegated to Mudrock (for many people), repositioning could be ankward.

Pozemka in front of blue box facing down + Mlynar on the middle lane facing down solves all your problems btw.
this event cm had me create a whole ass train of gavial alter s3, hoshiguma s3, and saria s1 just to tank all the bloody summons coming my way.
Reed alter helped me a lot in this stage with the trash mobs and remembering I had Shamare helped me destroy Ya faster
