Make the offense happy so they can be our defense. Now you have to score more points than us to beat us. Kinda like when the Golden State Warriors was hot.
It all started with Jesse Bates iii. But Mike Brown is so cheap and stupid. If he doesn’t keep these great players, then don’t be surprised that Burrow demands a trade. PAY THE PLAYERS!!!!!!
I would love to keep Higgins and all the other guys Joe wants but not at the expense of the defense. We can already see it taking a hit from not signing a guy like DJ Reader. Restructuring Burrows contract is just going to make us have to pay all the money due to him in the future years. Do people just not care about how it will really affect us in being competitive say 4 or 5 years from now? We have proven that even with all the star power on the offense it’s not enough to win every game. Personally if I had to pick between paying Trey Hendrickson or Tee Higgins. Without a doubt I’m paying Trey. We can’t afford to lose our best player on Defense. Losing Bates and Reader really hurt but we kinda absorbed it (not really) but if we let Trey get away we will be taking another big step backwards on Defense. Personally I think we could absorb the loss of Tee easier since Yoshi has shown he can get it done. I want to see them invest more into the offensive line as well because Burrow can’t keep taking so many hits and sacks. Plus giving more time for the plays to develop and a clean pocket Burrow can win with a lot of different guys. We always draft wide receivers very well also , so that’s another reason why I’m not so sure we wanna pay all the money to star wide receivers! I love them guys just like everyone else but I also like Defense and Beefy line men and still being competitive year in year out , not just for the next couple years.
Jamar Chase didn't get signed to a contract because he wanted a Max deal with the fewest Years possible The brown family tried to give him more money than any wide receiver has ever received ever and he said the contract was too long Sometimes it's not ownership sometimes it's just the greed of the players on the field people
Think about how many wasted WR draft picks the Bengals went through trying to find Tee's replacement. Funny how the contract should have been done early and saved those wasted picks. Of course, Mike Potts would have wasted those picks somewhere else, but the Bengals could stumbled into someone else in another position. Meanwhile, Mike Potts scouts and picks Burton. Burton won't even be traveling with the team to Pittsburgh. Mike Potts thought he was smarter than Nick Saban, wtf.
How many games has Tee missed from injuries? Yes id love to keep him but id rather win a championship and basically all our resources will be needed for that Horrendous defense we have.
They let both safeties walk 2 years ago and the defense suffered. they drafted poorly for defensive players. When you let a Pro Bowl player go at age 25 and dont have the replacement that's a monumental failure of the front office. If they let Higgins go....who is going to replace him? the Dolphins and Eagles signed their two top receivers why not the Bengals? Because Mike Brown is a a cheap a** owner...thats why.
Can they really make this work and not have a defense that sucks? Even if Joe agrees to restructure his contract. The only similiar team is the Eagles i think. Seems like with Hurts, AJ Brown and Devonta Smith they are making it work
Their only hope is to build a new stadium with retractable roof and give Brown’s all the profits from year round entertainment event to use towards team. Never gonna happen, but that’s the only way. Prove me wrong Bengals Front Office. I’ll eat Crow(Raven)😂
Joe should just pay tee higgins himself if it came down to it ..i know that's stupid but if if it was a choice between having tee Higgins and not having him and I was going to make over a billion dollars in my career I would just work out a backroom deal where I paid tee Higgins myself if I was joe
If Joe wants to be huge deal, he needs to renegotiate his deal and get some receivers and beef up the defensive line. The salary cap has plenty of room if Joe didn't hog all the cash! Sure, I understand that he wants to make the big bucks. However, he can have a longer career, longer life, and less painful life if he gets some guys to protect him and catch the ball. USE YOUR BRAIN JOE! He can't do it all, even though he is sucking up all the money! If you have a winning franchise, everyone is going to have more money! That includes Joe. He needs to stop sucking up all the payroll and get some help on that team! Mike Brown and the team should look at long-term finances. Take less now, but the reap the benefits longer and increase the team's value. The Bengals will continue to be the Bungles until Joe and the Browns start thinking more strategically.
Keep Tee and we only need an average OL and average D. Plug Lee in at C, find some average guards. Draft D to add to promising kids. Send Pollack and Lou packing. Find coordinators who can identify and develop talent. Not people who have show they arrest development and scheme like they have all pro players. Average OL and average D and we go 14-3.
There has to be Zero faith that Katie, Mike or whomever decides how they negotiate contracts, will get this off-season right. The stadium was packed, so you know ownership are laughing to the bank. They still consider this season a win. 17 Million unspent when the starting CB, OT , LB all go down. No Jamarr extension, no Tee contract, Hendrickson getting paid on the cheap. This ownership is designed to lack accountability and fleece the fans. They speak once a year and then go dark. Who is ultimately responsible for wasting JoeyB's career. The Brown Family Braintrust and Zac Taylor. Profit>Championships=MikeBrown Katie Blackburn is making daddy proud.
Why pay more for players who have missed the playoffs 2 years in a row and can barely get a winning record? The team needs defense and if Burrow needs 2 #1 players to play his position, then he should be giving half of his money to the process of re-signing both of them. An extra 30m would really help without further hurting the team. You keep talking about how they're going to have all of this money. But ALL OF IT outside of the Chase signing needs to go to rebuilding the defense which needs a NT, 3t, pass rusher, #1 CB, #1 FS, and a #2 or 3 CB. They need basically 7-8 new starters on defense. That's going to be expensive.
@@BengalsTalk That is not an answer. That's an emotional "I don't have an answer but it opposes what I state" reply. Answer the question or stay quiet.
It's been reported that clause already exists in Joe's contract. What really pisses me off, during last years off-season and pre-season the Brown Family Trust sunk 35 million into the locker room when they were supposedly looking to pay Tee 28 million. Gooooo figure! What other Owner would do that? Who?
This plays into my theory that I've had for a while now: Burrow, Higgins, and Chase have formed a trio that is dedicated to making this franchise change its ways going forward, or they are gone! All three have decided not to let their potentially legendary NFL careers get wasted here at a franchise that is too cheap, too penny-pinching, too incompetent, to ensure a competitive good team is put on the field to ensure they have the best chance possible of reaching and winning the Super Bowl and having a culture of winning here, a dynasty of some sort. The lynchpin is the off season signing of Tee Higgins. If it doesn't happen, then both Burrow and Chase will go nuclear in getting out of this place and to somewhere that won't be willing to waste their potentially legendary NFL careers. They will pull Carson Palmer 2.0s. The second they let it go public that both want traded out of Cincinnati, the Bengals will have to hire a small army of telephone operators to take all the incoming calls wanting to work out deals for them! ... and they WILL get out of Cincinnati. There will probably be some good offers wanting both as a deal! So they stay together going forward. And if Aaron OTH Rodgers could toss weight around to get Davante Adams at his side, I would imagine you could always see Tee Higgins with them at some future point lol.
@@toeey1 I suggest you read up on what Carson Palmer did. And contracts are one of the reasons lawyers exist. Other franchises would end up making sure he got out of Cincinnati when he wanted to.
This team CANNOT afford contracts for Burrow, Chase, Higgins, and Hendrickson. There literally will be MINIMAL money for the rest of the roster. Those 4 players would eat up 70% of your cap money. Not a wise choice, especially with Higgins injury history.
Once they cut the defensive guys that are garbage and replace them with players that wanna play that have talent for less, they’ll have plenty of money
Man oh man. They have plenty of money now! It's been reported over and over again Bengals have 100 million in hand, and that Joe Burrow's contract has a clause that permits 19 million to be re-negotiated to pay outstanding players. Additionally, this year there's a new rule: Owners can sell to private financiers up to 10% of their franchise team. What money problems? It's a fairytale.
8:30 everyone knows you have to keep your good players. That's common sense. The Bengals front office actually doesn't care if they're any good or they would start signing people the way the contracts work. Now you being stubborn gets you nothing
if this crap doesn't change and they do joe like they did carson then i'm never watching them again and neither should you. force the bads out if we must.
Ownership of the Bengals is not going to change anytime soon. They only care about being an average and making a profit. They’re not in it for Super Bowls. Just look at the AFC championship trophy being handed to Mike Brown when they won the AFC championship against the Chiefs does that look like a owner? That is happy winning the AFC championship sure don’t look like it to me.
The bengals will pay players too start winning but let them go too start losing should’ve kept bates kept reader mixion and CJ but the bengals do friendly fire 🔥 by not signing guys if they would’ve signed these guys early it want cost them more down the road
If Joe burrow was a wwe wrestler he would be dean malenko , PS I DONT TAKE THAT AS A CLEAR MESSAGE AT ALL., he’s not bringing it up they are asking his opinion on it….
I don’t think it’s wise to sign both Tee and Jamar, you’ll leave no cap for a better defense. Sign chase, draft another. Let the ravens sign Tee. I bet they’ll sign Tee, Tag chase, so they don’t need to upset Tee paying him so much less than Jamar.
Mike Brown and his daughter, Katie, are amateurs at managing a NFL team and looking like doofuses when negotiating standout players' contracts. Instead of negotiating early, like the Eagles, they slap their star plays with franchise tickets, humiliate them, put out erroneous PR that the franchise is poor and the player greedy and wants too much damned money. And, lets not forget all this craziness about guaranteed money. Money used primarily when a player is injured and guarantees the player gets paid. And, then when the player walks out the door, like in Jesse Bates scenario, it's not unusual for the player to double the money he originally asked management for. And, then to top everything off, management gets absolutely zilch when the player walks. Yup, pretty sad way to run a team, if indeed, the Brown Family Trust really wants what players and fans want ... a team that can win the Superbowl!
That defence needs to be improved more than anything. Burrow went the aaron Rodgers route. Congrats your like the highest paid qb in the nfl. Wait I can't afford good players around me now boo hoo. Tom brady greatest qb in history, never the highest paid. He was smart put winning above all else.
miek brown will pay ja'marr, I want him to pay tee but he has never paid 2 WRs. he only pays for a QB and WR. it's his master plan to not win the superbowl but put butts into seats. Dude does not show he wants to win it all.
Do you want to talk wish list or truth? First of all, Burrow can keep the team competitive without Chase or Higgins. That is the goal, a competitive team. Heck, they had that in fact this year. Does anyone like that? Heck no, of course. Of Chase and Higgins, the Bengals MIGHT keep one. Higgins is going to be at the top of the free agent market this off season. Anyone out there going to outbid the Bengals? Yes in fact, seven days a week. Chase price tag is higher now too. Jesse Bates, well, nobody is perfect but here's the thing about losing Bates, these airheads drafted specifically for that. How can you strike out so many times? The draft picks, Stone this year, Nick Scott last year? Can't draft a decent edge rusher, Myles Murphy is awful. The players chosen on the rebuilt Offensive Line, with the exception of Orlando Brown Jr., the rest sub-par. Chase Brown has made tremendous strides thankfully. Tell Zack Moss to take a hike. He stunk anyway. Along with Rankin, total waste of money. Hubbard, enough of him. In chosing talent whether it be in the draft or the bargain shopping for free agents, this franchise simply does not mind the criticism for all the blunders, John Ross. In fact, like them, they have completely trained Zak Taylor to absorb all the criticism and negativity they have created. The sarcastic positivity in the face of the disgrace. Bottom line is they do not care, they put a team out there, wait for players still under contract to expire and in some cases extend nothings, like Drew Sample. Has he caught a TD ALL season? This all has annoyed fans but the franchise just does not care. They want stadium upgrades in the billions I understand. What, they just move the team elsewhere then when the lease is up in 2026? They sure haven't earned any sort of investment in that neighborhood from the fans tax money. Do they care what fans think? No, not really, because in their minds they are professionals and know more and if it fails, well, that is why there is always another season, another after that, and still another, so on and so on. Keeping everyone optimistic and then, we will get them next year. Baloney, you can keep this crap going for decades. They already have. I personally don't feel the Bengals will win Saturday at Pittsburgh. They are playing a bit better on Defense these days. Why? Better never than late now. KC is resting players, no help coming from them in Denver unless something unethically weird occurs. Miami likely could care less at this point. Tua isn't healthy. Perhaps if you A'holes showed up ready in Week One a better tone would have been set instead of looking up and being 0-3 out of the gate. Everyone is supposed to forget that though. Saturday's game is it for this season so you might as well prepare now. It got a bit interesting but ultimately failure has a way of doing that in some cases.
Tee is always hurt so you gonna over pay a guy that's always hurt? Or you gonna sign him to another franchise tag draft a wr and trade him half way through the season
That's not true LOL. The Bengals are paying 3 veteran starters on OL, plus Trent Brown, PLUS Amarius Mims (first round salary). Gotta make the right signings/additions-not about not having enough resources.

We have proven that even with all the star power on the offense it’s not enough to win every game. Personally if I had to pick between paying Trey Hendrickson or Tee Higgins. Without a doubt I’m paying Trey. We can’t afford to lose our best player on Defense. Losing Bates and Reader really hurt but we kinda absorbed it
(not really) but if we let Trey get away we will be taking another big step backwards on Defense.
Joe should have said this when Jessie bates was still here
Jamar Chase didn't get signed to a contract because he wanted a Max deal with the fewest Years possible The brown family tried to give him more money than any wide receiver has ever received ever and he said the contract was too long Sometimes it's not ownership sometimes it's just the greed of the players on the field people
Think about how many wasted WR draft picks the Bengals went through trying to find Tee's replacement.
YEEEEESSSSS!
Can they really make this work and not have a defense that sucks? Even if Joe agrees to restructure his contract. The only similiar team is the Eagles i think. Seems like with Hurts, AJ Brown and Devonta Smith they are making it work
CBT extra active in the comments section. Dont play with em!
Is Joe going to restructure his deal? Should he?
…. Watch the video
If you watch the video you will hear exactly what Joe said
It's been reported that there is already a clause in Joe's contract to re-negotiate his contract for valued players.
A Big mistake not paying Higgins Big Bucks.
We sign Chevy Lumina's early and let the Corvette's go.
True winning mentality that!
Wake up Mike and Kate. Pay them!
It's a front office that doesn't like to change with the time. That philosophy doesn't work in today's NFL.
Like ...... How do you get the front office out of the front office 🤔😂😅😒
That's going to be expensive.
lol
@@BengalsTalk That is not an answer. That's an emotional "I don't have an answer but it opposes what I state" reply. Answer the question or stay quiet.
@@Montrovantislol
@@Montrovantis I’ve said plenty on Tee. They can fix the defense. Losing tee doesn’t help the cause. it hurts them
Sad, you sure you're not in the front office where the drama begins and ends with a wimper.
Restructure your contract Joe if you really want to keep them and win.
It's been reported that clause already exists in Joe's contract.
What really pisses me off, during last years off-season and pre-season the Brown Family Trust sunk 35 million into the locker room when they were supposedly looking to pay Tee 28 million. Gooooo figure! What other Owner would do that? Who?
Dude. Joe “sending a message” means absolutely nothing. Based on history, ownership gives zero clucks about what any given player wants.
Perfect, I totally agree!
Joe is signed for awhile, he cant go anywhere. Unless he retires
@ didn’t know that .. better get Tee and Jamarr their contracts ready then lol
Welcome to the Brown family Joe. The only thing they care about is how much money they can put into their own pocket.
Get rid of Mike brown ….
None of this matters if we start out 0 3 every year. 😫😡
Eh they were smart for not offering CJ more. The Mixon move made them better. They should’ve kept DJ and Bates, no doubt
I know Joe is great and all, but he's also the reason why we can't afford the O-Line he needs.... so? Catch 22?
That's not true LOL. The Bengals are paying 3 veteran starters on OL, plus Trent Brown, PLUS Amarius Mims (first round salary). Gotta make the right signings/additions-not about not having enough resources.

@BengalsTalk actually i do, u are just too stupid to know how a business works...and the NFL is a business
20 years ago mike Brown said it was more profitable to field a mediocre team rather than a championship team. He is focused on that goal, MONEY! Scrooge would blush. After he said that, I got rid of my season tickets and swore not to walk into that stadium until he was gone (In the corporeal sense), still here. Now I can’t wait until the end of February for the start of the FCC season and our next year of our season tickets, it is way more fun. GO FCC!!! The best home team Cincinati has by far! James, seriously, start a program for FCC. No competition and you would be a celebrity over night. Meet us at Northern Row before the game.
Joe can say everything he wants they have proven this year and many times before you can spend all kinds of money on offense but if you don’t have a defense you are going no where! I would love to see everyone stay but there is a salary cap and we need a defense to win a championship! Plus these slow start seasons are getting very old! We need to come out on fire and host a AFC championship here in Cincinnati. Or if the browns can’t get us a great team let’s build a new stadium and demand a new team and ownership!
Bla bla bla
Sooo... I guess the front office approved this message as he's changed his tune smdh...
