Yeah, arc warden got countered really hard by Chen. Arc got no utility against crowd in the early game and flux is pretty much useless here even though it's the only utility you have to create an opportunity to make a counter play.
early game chen is strong because of the number of neutral creep you get at lv7 and they hit hard but once the game hit mid game where enemy can just straight up kill ur creeps you'll feel chen underwhelming, unlike enchantress where you can protect ur creep by hitting them with impetus

If you are 0/4 on mid with no tower, and chen is dominating the game completlty, it's really hard to recovery from a game like this, mainly as arc warden which really needs at least midas and maelstrom asap.

A hero like arc warden (who cant jungle until you have maelstrom), fighting chen who has neutral creeps with bonus HP and damage + penitence for atk spd is very overwhelming.. How do u kill chen if u cant even use your spark wraith and flux, you cant even kill one neutral yourself..
Never played against Chen mid as Arc, but yeah it seems awful to try to play against. Lycan and Lone Druid feel like insta losses to me, their "creeps" just have too much HP to take down. Invoker isn't so bad, coz his Forge Spirit can be killed, Brood is annoying but not the worst since you can usually dodge her and go jungle by 6. Meepo isn't awful since he has to put his hero in danger of death to dive you. Naga's also a pain coz she just straight up ignores you and farms hella fast before you even get midas. I guess people hate Arc because when he's last picked, you can't really crush him mid without one of those heroes, without Arc stepping real far out of position.

Only thing i could think he could once he sees it is a mid chen is swap out with dawn, zues or sven. I dont know which of those heros would be better against a GM mid chen player but 1 of them would be. maybe they would just try to nuke the wave out and keep chen at bay. its hard because you have to contest bottle runes, unless the pos 4 or 5 just makes the sacrifice comes mid to refresh mid with mangos or do the bottle refresh. Seems hard for most heros to stop him without any additional support.
Chen has one of the highest skill ceiling in any moba game. The fact you can take control of every creep all with abilities and micro them everywhere is so ridiculous.

Arc warden no boots is extremely vulnerable to do this, but almost every mid hero has alternatives to the summons. Lina stuns and run, qop blink, never razes slow(2 razes and boots, byebye), puck go away in orb. I think alch is very susceptible also in early stages
Point is that they need to be mid.In this case none of radiant hereos could lane against him.Mb downbreaker but then you have already lost at that point

If he use the 3rd skill ahead of his path, he can slow centaur or hellbear He has lot of mana to work with plus he has bottle, and probably ask his soft support to babysit him until he become lvl 6
this is how it felt when you went pugna mid v nigma - what goes around ;) The way to deal with it is cleave btw and you have a sven - if he rotate mid to help you with a stun then you do fine.

exactly... Chen isn't an obvious counter because of course Arc is late game hero but early game Chen can stomp Arc's weakness

chen dominate every hero that has to lane . early-mid game anyways . the only downside is he doesnt scale that well .
