Damn son! You started with one of the best. My first was purchased in 2005... wasr10 from the ban era being clearanced off due to the awb being allowed to sunset. It had been neutered and had no bayonet lug, no threaded barrel, mag well had to be modded to take normal mags, the wood was splintery dogsh*t mystery wood and the handguard pin would burn the piss out of you... BUT it was exactly $258 out the door with 4 mags. 😂 Wolf was $79 a case. 😭 Such good times and that raggedy gun was awesome and we frequently had it red hot to the point the handguards bellowed smoke but it always worked. Never failed and we consistently plinked empty shotgun shells at 50 and occasionally 100 yards. Fantastic gun for sure but not in the same league as the sam7.
I have a Sam sf , I have this ak for about 5 years and still happy I got it for about 1k , and yes, I rattle can paint on it every three months, and I don’t regret buying this others always complain. It’s too heavy, but for me it just right.
First AK was a Vepr $1100 the old guys at the gun that did the transfer we’re laughing about the price. They were banned for import a month later. Put a scope on that bad boy and shoot groups with different ammo. I bet you can show the haters it’s not a spray and pray.

Just put a kns piston on my mini milled jack...havnt got to try it out yet..milled has a nice feel😅🎉🇺🇸
The smoothest bolt i ever felt was a sam7. Definitely a badazz rifle.
