I love the fact that you hold your brush far away and get the free movement like Alvaro. The difference is you paint in a layered approach. He often does alla-prima.

Great video! Why do an underpainting in very light yellow and crimson if you will later paint over that area with highly saturated brown? I'm not sure I understand.
yellow and crimson in first tone used to show light in the painting ....and brown used to show darkness or shadow... we generally paint from brightness to the darkness!!!! how ever there are artists who also paints from darkness to brightness!!!!! thank you so much for watching!!!!
Nice drawing and tonal values, maybe too much blue from the tube makes it look a little unnatural but if is a conscious decision then who am i too argue with that?
