For people who are complaining about the weapons being to OP and you can’t have fun anymore or hard mode doesn’t have its purpose here’s a pro-tip don’t use the shield weaver armor and don’t use the weapons he used which you can’t get from a merchant. You don’t get the shield weaver armor until around level 30 I think and you don’t even need to get it if you want. Plus the weapons he used, you need to complete the hunting grounds with the best score in order to get it and with also the modifications that are rare. Even if you have all of these but you still want a challenge then simply don’t use them.
People do challenge because they want to feel good about themselves , saying proudly they beat the hardest difficulty ... when OP equipments present , everyone can just do it so there’s no point in doing the challenge when they can’t brag about it , that is the point

You can never be op in this game if youre playing UH. unless you master the mechanics of the game or spend a sht ton of hours farming the best mods out there. Alot out there misunderstood this game lol

Is there a reason they’re only dealing 34 damage (75 when frozen)? Were they nerfed? It says it has 280 impact damage but I’m barely even scratching them

They should add like some custom game part of the game where you can choose the machines you want just image how cool that would be you just make a whole world of thunderjaws and try killing them all in ultra hard mode with the outcast armor and regular guns

Nuked some Frostclaws with no problems at all. Then took down a Thunderjaw dropping bombs on its head. It's awesome!

Mmm...I just use three different bows. Makes it more action-packed. Though I didn't get extra arrows ability yet. Thought didn't cross my mind I could stack status effects faster that way.
This is a good technique but I think the best one is to get them to kill one another by overriding or corrupting them. Using corruption arrows I can take out a herd while hiding in the red grass and taking interesting screenshots!
Even with ammo crafter you still lose on blaze so a slightly slower way would be to blow off disk launchers with tearblast arrows then freeze and kill him with the launcher,
I find more easy to beat the Thunderjaw with 1 or 2 of those arrows that break the components. I ame those 2 arrows to the weapons on the Thunderjaw back, them i take those weapons and beat him, 40 sec tops and less munition.
Woops. I know they patched the extra damage from freeze from suddenly proc-ing unexpected extra damage that's not intended. Would it still be this quick on the difficulty you recorded?

4 tramplers, 2 sawtooths, and 3 long legs all at once with this tactic, on hard difficulty. It only took me 51 seconds. Thanks again!

Freeze is amazingly effective. I enjoy combat more than just laying bombs and traps, although those certainly have their uses.

Depends on the mods u put on ur weapons.

go straight for shadow weapons. Use nora protector heavy because melee damage is most common

Raptor my method against a thunderjaw is take off all the ranged components and then keep a distance cause then all he can do is melee attacks

Shoot the hands first so they can't go back underground. And don't move. They can't detect you if you stay still
ChrisAC15 you need to fire at its claws with tear blast arrows because without claws, it can't dig

It's no challange for sure, we need a new difficulty or new machines.

Jayson Magnus use the shadow blast sling. its got the same ammo types just less damage I think

i always freeze them and than i spam them with my rapid fire hardpoint arrows, but this works better

The tactic I use is freezing the enemy and shooting them with the ice rail s ice cannon and it does 2000 damage with damage mods

Is this guy in Easy mode? It may work in Easy or Story Mode, but you should try it on Normal(what I play on) and it is not that easy
