I wish I could get that magical feeling again loading up a game and just instantly feeling immersed. i am so happy that youtube recommended this video now I can enjoy my childhood again even if its for a short while. or maybe ill sink hundreds of hours into it again. lol
I installed the launcher (12/2/23) - the installation does NOT create a launcher shortcut. I played once at launch, and then got busy with school. Tried to update, update broke, uninstalled everything and made a fresh install. Now the thing doesn't work because I can't access the launcher executable. There is no shortcut. I'm at my wits end. The launcher installation process is not as easy as you guys suggest. Please fix this, or at least give instructions on creating a new shortcut somewhere on the website, the discord FAQs- SOMETHING!!! The launcher executable is impossible to find, and nobody's responding. I just wanted to play a game I love. Disappointing.
There was no dekstop icon installed, not sure how to add it now, also, I have no sound in title screen (But I do during gameplay), is this normal? Thanks

The files responsible for the game are in like eight different places and they have no info on which one is actually where the launcher is to create a new shortcut. I love the community, i love the game. but it's impossible to access now...
Launcher doesn’t give me the option to install horizonxi like presented in the video I already registered an account made a character but when I run the launcher the bottom is cut off to a degree can only see server player count

I have come across a problem when following the steps for the initial install/set up show on various websites. I hope someone can help. I really appreciate it. After updating playonline, then starting it to up to enter my account info (so i can further proceed to the ffxi update)... I am not able to use any controls on the steam deck except for select and back/exit. I'm not able to enter my playonline account information, because I can't bring up the keyboard for both steam deck or playonline. I don't have an external keyboard. I have set the config controls for controller as instructed in the directions. Is there a button set up for the controller config that allows you to use the steam deck as the controller? Even if we're to somehow bypass by buying an external keyboard, I want to play this handheld with steam decks controller. Thanks for any help!
@@robertbeecroft718 yeah, you cant use "-" in the password. Need to be alpha numerical only. I think they changed things so that it cant happened anymore though, so your problem might be related to somehting else :/

I don't think I tried the executable, but after 2 days of playing I'm no longer able to get into the game. (Multiple error 3100 and variants). Did I miss a launcher update or is something else wrong? I see a lot of complaints on the discord but no one official seems to be responding
also going into %appdata% and deleting the launcher through there also helps the bugged out launcher if it was stuck on 7% and not only sent to screens and control panel location

Hi. I downloaded the launcher, created character, game. All goes well till i realised Server is shown Offline and Players 0. Did i miss a step somewhere? Please help!!
Issue I have is the text in the menus is barely readable, makes things like bidding on ah difficult, any idea how to fix this? Everytjing is ok chat text is a little better but not great. Have been loving getting back into this agiain, great job on it.

What is horizon ffxi music? I've noticed some tracks are different from the original, would this be the horizon ffxi music? Also dont know if you guys are aware but gamepads barely work when near many players or laggy situations but keyboard continues to work! That being said I'm having so much fun!!!! I'm a little embarrassed to say, but I'm having trouble getting started. I downloaded the launcher, a few error messages popped up, but I'm still able to open the launcher. But from there I do not have the ability to "install ffxi horizon." It's probably something really simple but I've always been a console gamer and this kinda stuff is foreign to me. Please help 🙏

Unfortunately this isn't it. When I go to open the exe to launch, it takes me to a broken login page with no tab that starts the install.

i fixed it by downloading the old version of the launcher and not updating it worked just fine for me i hope that helps

The horizon music is the artists on our music team remixing the game tracks.
