If you're doing Scurrius for the first time to get your spine, I'd recommend at the very minimum having a Rune Scimitar, Iban's Staff, or a Magic Shortbow. I personally used a poisoned rune spear for my first kills, it's a bit slow but certainly doable if you have 50+ stats.
@glumreaper8885 None specifically, but the rune spear kinda slaps! +42 Strength to the Sword's +39 and the Mace's +36, and a shield isn't really that relevant since I can't use defenders yet. Also scurry can be poisoned so it's extra dps!
Much needed stepping stone for early game players. Also cool that it rewards xp instead of gp, for the most part. Overall really love the design direction of this boss. Nice guide!

I didn't realize the spear got buffed to 4 ticks thats kinda nice
First guy I’ve seen not with a scythe and fucking blood torva for an intro mid level boss.
It's no blood torva but don't count out my cream wizard hat
