Loadouts: Same loadouts as Arc Hunter, the only difference is using Xenophage on Persys. Remember, if both special weapons have lead with gold, the less you need to worry about ammo. Otherwise use any kinetic slot weapon (preferably fusion) and a trace rifle (put in backup mag so you have 104 bullets to easily break all eyes on Akelous), be considerate on your ammo usage and play slow. Remember that double special gives more heavy ammo, and if you need special ammo, swap to your heavy weapon and start using your abilities. You are more likely to spawn Special ammo with Heavy weapon equipped than spawning them while having a special weapon equipped.
What do you think of Cataclysmic instead of Sleeper for the 1st boss? Back when I did the solo flawless, it was my DPS pick and I'm considering using it again for my run this season because of the sheer ammo efficiency it has + still having a pretty competitive DPS.

Good run Zeff! In the future, when your running incinerator snap, I've found more success when I snap at enemies’ feet. The snap "pellets" have a small aoe explosion which makes it easier to land. I generally will always proc a combustion explosion when doing this and sunbracers is much more reliable that way. You shouldn't have to weaken them with your weapons by making this change. 39:55 is a perfect example of how snapping at the chest can be so inconsistent. I learned that xenophage is great with rain of fire reload. I'll keep that in mind when the dungeon from season of the deep comes out and we all try to solo that. Thanks for the video!

Why Icarus Dash instead of Heat Rises? Being able to shoot in air and get an instant cure from holding a grenade seems more helpful than a small little dash?
Calling icarus a small little dash definitely doesn't quite grasp the power of it. It's probably the most powerful movement ability in the game, short of well or shatter skating.
Riptide is still available from Lord Shaxx, but trace rifles like Retraced Path (from dares) and acacias dejection (from Root of nightmares) are both good, and relatively easily obtainable options. Sleeper can also be bought from the exotic kiosk at the tower for a cipher (which you can get from Xur) and ascendant shards.
I'm unsure if u are saying you are a new player that started during lightfall or a returning player, but if u are a new player, I wouldn't recommend attempting this as the difficulty of it is exceptionally high, if u are a returning player who has done quite a bit of solo dungeons previously, you can use any legendary trace rifle, and honestly you can use whatever u want for the other, whether is blinding grenades, another fusion, or shotgun (bonus for one-two punch)
I'd say they are on the same playing field. Both are great options. Since the linear nerf, Sleeper Simulant deals very similar damage to witherhoard bait and switch cataclysmic.

For some reason when I get to damage on second encounter I destroy all the eyes and then do damage but only do a sliver of damage.idk what in doing wrong.ive tried all kids of weapons for damage
For the first boss, damage is really rough for warlock. Another thing that potentially is happening is that the surges are bugging out, seen in 16:08, the surges don't seem to be working, in fact bugging out. If u are running the exact build as I am, normally, each sleeper shot should do 127k with radiant and 3x surge. Another thing leading to poor damage is breaking the eyes too slow. The amount of time you have to damage is dictated by how fast you break the eyes. This is why trace rifles are the best to breaking eyes.
@Zeff was on Void hunter useing Acasias Rejection Adept for my trace rifle and Leviathons Breath then switched to Sleeper but both heavies were not doing damage like I've seen in other videos.Maybe I am taking too long to break eyes with the trace rifle

Taking too long on eyes does take away your time to damage and I have a pretty effective method to breaking them fast. Also, do make sure to use some sort of loadout swap with surges and time dilation. The surges genuinely make a difference
I did this solo flawless last season I did way more Dps for both bosses I used fusion nades and cataclysmic and rockets but good run though there are just better options
do enlighten me, I am learning the ways of the warlocks, been a filthy titan one-trick for way too long. if you are also throwing fusion nades, does this mean you are literally sitting in the back of the map shooting while throwing nades or do you move the well up like I did then throw the nades?
Only compare to lightfall options from here on out, last season had 2 artifact mods for buff, debuff with autoload, and linears have been nerfed since then. Not a fair comparison.

I hate finding the nodes lol I both like and hate this dungeon. Who the fuck wants to look for nodes to shoot lol takes away from the potential fun this dungeon could be
I agree, spending time looking for the nodes is pretty annoying and is a pretty common reason to why people end up dying. Only reason why I don't find this an issue is that ive done this dungeon so many times its muscle memory

This is much more doable than you might expect. If you're interested in learning to solo a dungeon, I'd recommend Grasp of Avarice. While Shattered Throne is easier, Grasp is much better at teaching you the sort of mindset you need to be in while you're doing it.
@@zeff_d2 it's just a good source of extra damage. Explosive light works too, or if it comes down to it vorpal. If you do it right it's a comfortable 4 phase.

Why would you basically throw by using backup mag? HORRIBLE mod on trace rifles dude. Things like reconstruction/rewind rounds exist. Even on a trace.

I only stayed on icarus so I can still swap to rain of fire and do the icarus dash without losing all my abilities from the changes

This made me cringe a little bit because of the guns used making it more than 3 phases per boss but you did it and that’s what matters.
The xenophage was a poor choice, but 3 phase on akelous is super tight, especially on warlock.

Any trace is viable. I am only using Hollow Denial because it has Lead from Gold, making it hard for me to run out of ammo.

Xenophage on final boss thats too chad. Just got my solo flawless done first try earlier in like 1hr but im a loser and used starfire 😂
It's still much worse than Starfire witherhoard demo rocket nade spam, but it is easy to use
