Holy Cow-. David Barton has this amazing knowledge that is so powerful because its a revelation to him. He doesn't speak from merely an intellectual knowledge standpoint but from his soul, because its the TRUTH it just flows right out of his mouth and into the ears of those hungry for the TRUTH.

Our Lord, and Savior loves everyone. If you know God, you know you pray for everyone. Especially if that ask for prayer. Ask and you shall receive. Franklin, should be doing g God's work and preaching, praying and helping those in need. He is a true Christian and anyone jealous of that should get themselves right with the Lord. I pray our country can stop being bias and start loving one another. Have faith and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

So I'm running for a school board seat here in the summer of 2022. In the midst of racial and gender politics. I went to 5 churches to ask if I could just be simply introduced at a luncheon or a social event. Not during a service or a mass. All 5 churches wouldn't touch me with a 10' Pole. One referred me to the Christian Law Association, which said that if a church even mentions a political candidate, it can have its 501 C3 status revoked. That's what this is all about. It's that, and not wanting to lose church members by seeming to choose political sides in the culture war.
I think the CLA's advice is overly cautious. But hey what do I know, I'm not a lawyer.

5:58 "Black historians likle, Carter Woodsson documented that in 1830, 43% of the free blacks in South Carolina owned black slaves, 40% in Louisiana, etc. Very high percentage, If you look at the percentage in America overall, the highest percentage of slave-owners of black slave was the Native Americans"

Racism goes back to whether or not you believe all men are created in the image of God, distinct and unique in their ethnicities but still equal in Christ and created His image. It's a heart issue. Our country and government will not change until the citizens change.

yeah, well... the world is run by the wicked! and so they're constantly twisting the truth, and are trying to divide us, confuse us and make us attack each other... so we really need to be careful and pray for wisdom and strength!

I’m not a historian, so I can’t speak very thoroughly to the answer Mr. Barton gave; however, I would like to comment briefly on HOW he answered. Simply put, the question was “Has America been a country marked by racism?” The response, however, came off as very cable news-y as he attempted to shift the question to become “Is America as racist as other countries?” Of course, any time we play a game of comparison like that, we can always come up with enough pieces of evidence to declare ourselves the winners. However, this is supposed to be a Christ-centered discussion, right? Christ didn’t enter a game of comparison of wrongs, not even once. Instead, he focused on repentance of the heart that led to change of action. How much more refreshing would it have been if there had been an honest answer given to this question, that yes, while our country has a riddled history of racism and while it’s certainly not been fully eradicated even today, we have learned and are committed to continue learning and to continue showing love in ways that we have not historically always done to minorities in a white-centric country. It IS okay to admit we’ve not been perfect; that’s a core message of the gospel. It hurts, but it’s so necessary. But then, instead of simply dwelling on past mistakes, when we move forward with our eyes not focused continually on our past, but on Christ, THAT is when real life-change (and on a group-level, nation-change) takes place. Admitting we are wrong is healthy; it is the foundation for transformational growth.

This is what I was thinking. Assuming the history facts he gave were true, that’s interesting information that I had not previously known (will be researching later)-BUT, he did not directly answer the question which causes me to ask, why?

I agree. His answer is part of the problem. And as a South Carolinian AND a person with a Degree in History and Completing my Masters in Political Science, But most importantly a Believer in Christ, I urge everyone to interrogate his "statistics" AND research/study the facts for yourselves. There are so many reliable sources out there for us not to continue to be ignorant and/or believe statistics that are bias such as the ones he gave.

E.N. G you may be moved to research old textbooks. As I too have done much research in relation to Our Founders.
I can attest to Mr Barton’s works as he truly seeks the truth.
I have found that many recent text and digital sites can be found as twisted or not telling of truths.
Seek roots of words and symbol of letters within old text. You will find definition and meaning has been manipulated over the past 100 plus years.
      Continue to ask the why.

He did not ask you is racism is a sin. He asked you if American was racist and if we were trying to get over eliminate it. It is a yes or no question. Vagrancy laws, redlining, preventing blacks from benefiting from VA Bill, get home loans etc.

Actually he was asked if there is systemic racism, he didn’t answer the question, he talked about slavery. Yes I indeed there is systemic racism in America, it’s deep.😢

This is an absolute lie. You’re regurgitating old arguments that have been debunked over and over again. Look up Thomas Sowell.

Very defensive. Sad. We made mistakes as a nation that we need to address. That is the historical truth. God's grace has seen us tbrough a lot of our mistakes as a nation. We don't have to continue this. It's not about the greatness of our nation, it should be about the greatness of our God

    Here’s the problem
    Addressing the culture is good
It’s the interpretation of the Bible by selfserving self righteous fast talkers like these two that
    Make it bad 😞
    Forgive them Father
They know not what they do 🙏
