Probably because Dusttrust has a bad reputation these days. Also the fact that it does have pretty bad writing and ignores what Dusttale was meant to be as an AT usually. This fangame at least seems to get something right with how Papyrus would behave in Swapdust/Dustswap (use whichever name you prefer), while a majority of the time, Sans feels like a psychopath at the final battle, seemingly laughing and gloating about who he has killed and how he had killed them, which is completely out of character with both Dusttale and Underswap.
So, it's not specifically Dusttrust itself, but moreover what has been done with Dusttrust over time.

As someone who has been in the UT community since something like late 2015, early 2016, I can say with confidence that it was originally known as Dustswap. While I prefer the new system that has been introduced with AU names that would have this called Swapdust, in the end, there really isn't any difference. It's all fanmade content, and if someone wants to call it one way or the other, it all works in the end.

Like I said, before the whole "Dustswap vs Swapdust" logic came about, it was known as Dustswap. While I prefer the new system, it doesn't make any difference in the end, as it's all fanmade stuff. Whatever is easier for one person to remember is what can be used, because it's just a name for something that a fan of Undertale made, and none of it is really "official".
