@@heartofcinema3454 no way, how strange! I know I wouldn't have been able to afford it back in the day anyway. Criterion is pricey at the best of times!
All great purchases. I got that taxi driver release, out of the wrap it looks good. Love ikiru and late spring, for both i have bfi and i have the criterion big versions. I have the criterion bergman set, but had to get also the bfi volume 1 {to get early works and to joy was skipping on the criterion box} I was looking to pick up body snatches but hesitated, not sure if its that great to buy and own, but you have talked it up, so i might get it soon. As you like bfi, what do you make of quay brothers?, i got the bfi shorts collection the other day, very interesting!
@@heartofcinema3454 It does doesn't it? I should have unwrapped it in the video tbh. Glad you're a fan of Late Spring and Ikiru, both outstanding films. I haven't seen any Quay brothers actually, I think they their first film in years was released recently I believe. Could be mistaken.
Oh you have got to be kidding! Joker was a wonderful deviation from Taxi Driver. It’s sophisticated in its ambiguity and it’s a modern take on the struggles of mental health and the lower class. Why did you think it was bad?
@@reel_reflections oh right. I ask because you're obviously a fan of Bruce Lee and therefore you may be a fan of Jackie Chan. Rumble in the Bronx was Jackie's breakout role in Hollywood and my favourite film of his
@@DOUBLEA1 it's on the watch list however ha. Curiously, I was never much into Jackie Chan when I was younger but his films were much harder to come by. So I'm playing catch up with his films now that I'm older.
Thank you.
Great selection here!
@@ElliotCoen Thanks Elliot! Your comment and view is much appreciated!
Criterion bergman set is region free. I have it. Great set, missing a few early ones though.
