The truck at min 3:26 is that the truck from the mid 80's ?

Yes it is. Gene Fannie Jr. Built it and pulled it for years.

What do they mean by a floating finish?

Billy Howellsandman - Whoever pulls the farthest distance is the winner with only one hook. At some pulls they have a 300' ft, or 320' ft finish line. Every competitor that pulls pass that distance comes back for a "Pulloff". Whoever pulls the farthest on there next hook wins. Hope this helps.

I don’t like the floating finish. It benefits guys who throw it all at the first hook, and don’t want to make a second pull. I think it’s better for the fans to have a pull off.

Paul Jordan - I agree. I'd rather have a pulloff to. They can set the sled so only the best pulls make it to the pulloff. They usually tighten up the sled for the pulloff anyway.

Some of the dumbest names for these trucks.
