A longer battery shock might 've revived the old battery if it had something left in the tank like when u left it uncharged for a while. Quite a few times I plug 5V to a battery like that start with a few secs 2min, 5mins then if still good it charges if nothing then do what u did a new battery

Get the biggest hammer 🔨 and used...I did change the battery...but after market battery life it's not good.. only keep for a few hours... you need a new phone...
