Prime Jose aldo was one of the scariest combat fighters on planet earth. He dominated the sport like no one else. It's quite incredible how conor wasn't scared stiff before he faced Jose.

He was never the same, good example when he beat benson for the title wasn't at all backing up or worried about the grappling.
It's more likely that his style can be negated. He also lost in the same fashion against Clay Guida pre-USADA. At the time it seems like the combination of his striking and quick submission was enough for a few title defenses, it wasn't. When RDA wrestled him, everyone else who defeated him immediately after that wrestled him despite not being known to have used wrestling as an offense (i.e. Barbosa/Alvarez - I know Alvarez was a high school wrestler but he's mostly a striker, especially in his offense). The confidence in the Henderson fight might have something to do with him having Bendo's number having defeated him 3 years earlier in a fight where he debuted the 'matrix' (off-the cage) kick. While your point is valid, it is more likely a fighting style issue rather than a PED issue.

Jose was a totally diff fighter back then, moved different, looked different, Pretty obvious what was up. His leg kicks back then was his best and most devastating weapon. I don't think he even threw one leg kick in his last fight.
