- Drive is a fundamental component to achieving success in any sport, and Fly Fishing is no different.
Cory Scott is a hugely talented sportsman who has succeeded at the highest level in a number of sports... His drive to be the best version of himself is an intriguing and inspirational story.
Set to the backdrop of New Zealand's wonderful North Island rivers, we follow Cory as he puts his considerable skills to the test while explaining how and why he got to become 11 times New Zealand fly fishing champion, and the drive behind that success. He also shares thoughts on Euro nymphing which is the mainstay of the competition angler.

Hey everyone stumbled across this amazing video i was looking for relaxing rain music to put me to sleep.
Instead i have found something better Cory really gets into himself and his greatness with fly fishing i managed 11.77 hours of sleep last night truly amazing thankyou Cory.

I undertake sleep therapy and occasionally I like deep water mediation, but this is new to me.

One of the best videos I've seen in a while. Well done Mike. Cory's story is inspiring and his skills are at another level. Pulling two fish out of really shallow water at close range with a euro rig were wow moments. And he has good taste in vehicles too!!! 😃

One of my favorite Purefly NZ episodes are when Cory and his mate goes back country fishing with an overnighter. His mate kept losing fish and the reactions where very funny. Cory also gave me some pointers when I reached out to him last year as I was planning my own backcountry adventure, however my health took a turn for the worst and I couldn’t do it. Now that I’m better, I’m planning to do it this summer, I’m working on getting my fitness back up and aim to do a 3 day back country trip this coming summer. This will be a first for me, so I’m hopeful things stay on the incline and I get out there. Thanks for the video Mike and Cory, this just cemented my idea and I’m now more motivated than ever.

Another fantastic portrait of a brilliant fly fisherman. Add to that your first class camera shots. It seems like yesterday that I was fly fishing one of these waters in the North Island.
Using the nymphing technique shown by Cory, my results in January were rather modest. Our guide showed us very well, but it wasn't really my thing. The saying applies here: practice makes perfect.
