I wonder? Maybe she was “dropped on her head”. Or maybe she has fought other scary challenges throughout several periods of her life that have broken her. She now freezes. It happens to me now at any time there’s a confrontation. Has happened a few times. Even just coming face to face with someone in a crowd would result in me standing stock still for many minutes after the other person moved aside and walked away. If I came face to face with someone say five years ago (in a crowd who had a sword) I reckon I’d still be standing there! Pigeon shit statue!
Im the first to admit its horrific behaviour if she was intentionally being disrespectful. I do honestly believe tho, John needs to understand we have many people of different abilities walking amongst us. It’s quite possible she’s not being intentionally disrespectful towards anyone.

I guess I don't understand why the public and tourists are allowed where they are in the first place, to even get in the way of the guards. Like it needs, not the guards, not the police but a further subset of a security patrol , part of the tourism staff... that would help keep the public in their place... behind some lines either actual or painted. Possibly either charge a fee for tourists or sadly discontinue such free access... maybe restrict it to go through eoth a guide. Or keep it how it is and find some ppl that just dont get it. Surely some of the guards are perfectly fine moving the public out of the way... get a little rise out of making way for the guard... mist ppl move quickly ajd respectfully, when surprised from behind... this type of response isn't the norm... thankfully...

The problem is that many tourists or let's say people in general because even the locals are often quite blinded about this - they all often forget that they are stepping into a small world of tradition and culture and not into a theme park and this leads to more and more problems. Not just locally but all over the world. People often lack respect and unfortunately also cultural understanding, as it is often no longer taught. At least that's what I often see in the museum where I work and it's annoying. It annoys everyone who are involved in such situations.

Hello from Michigan! I watch you daily mostly and enjoy the guards and horses. Today that lady didn't move for the guard. I wonder if they think the guards are just for show and aren't real working military members. It hurts my heart to see any military member get disrespected as they do so much for us average citizens.

I think I may be watching your videos too much! I am starting to pick up British vocabulary seldom used here in Canada. Chocker, cheeky, etc. If I use in public, I will be getting some weird looks! But, I love your videos and am learning alot about British history. I am kind of a history nerd. Enjoy your day! Cheers! 😎 🇨🇦

Maybe their uniform's were damp as they had to come out straight away after arriving, and their breast plates had to be removed, that's the only thing I can think of , it wouldn't be very pleasant for them working in damp uniforms. PS. Loved it when the guard kissed the horse ❤

having seen so many video's from the change of horses i have noticed there often is a huge confusion about the second white line.
Why don't they paint the second white line red or yellow instead of white ?
Having 2 different colours for the lines will avoid a lot of confusion and it also makes it easier for police and soldiers to guide the tourists to the restricted position.

I'm from the U.S. and don't know much about English culture. What I do know is these "guards" are some of the most highly trained soldiers in the world with outstanding military careers to even be considered for that position. They deserve respect no matter what country your from. I can't imagine going to any foreign country and disrespecting its soldiers. Sounds like a good way to end up in a hospital or worse if you ask me.

Immediately I found that I had an M-16 rifle pointed at me and a soldier instructing me to “Get off the chain”.
