Your opinion is 100% valid but honestly, I really, REALLY do appreciate you putting Yuki at S tier. Alot of people would just ‘categorise’ him as the annoying one or the ‘emo depressed boy’, while I myself do that jokingly it still doesnt change the fact that I actually do feel bad by all the things he’s been through. Yuki is the type of character that you see is losing it 24/7 but when he smiles you cant help but smile with him- atleast thats how I feel whenever it happens. This boy deserves so much more and I think Linuj did a good job with his character as being one of the most realistic ones in the game. Other than that? Emma and Yoruko >>>>>>> QUEENS. ADDITIONALLY, his relationship with Shinji is just god-tier. Him being a little fanboy to Emma and a few others is just *MWAH* amazing. Out of all the Lucky Students in both the canon and fanon games, his development was just spot on. The only two complaint id have is probably his execution- which was a nice little easter egg of Makoto’s execution but I think there could have been more possibilities explored for his execution and him not getting that much screentime in the epilogue along with Yoruko, but we do get an explanation on why she wasnt present (though it was enjoyable to see Syobai and Iroha together- nice lil duo if i do say so myself). Maybe his mom could have gotten more screentime outside the first game’s motive but thats about it. Hope this man lives a happy life along with the other survivors 💞💞

For Setsuka I loved how her body discovery was not just for dramatic effect and had a real and good purpose in the trial. Like the killer did not just dismember the body for no reason.
Shinji has to be my actual fave. When I first watched the game i honestly loved him so much. He was so sweet, and his relationship with yuki and hajime was adorable. But i knew from the beginning that chapter four was coming for him :(

Mikado having his own place in the tier list wtf Let's talk shit about my favorite characters again. Emma is a queen~ Her design is one of my favorites in the game. Her character and backstory is very interesting. Emma's childhood trauma and the fact that it leads her to killing Kokoro is a very big thing about her whole character development. Her relationship to Kokoro is also a thing that we shouldn't miss out too, they could've be best friend if it wasn't for her traumatic experience. Setsuka, she's like a big sis to me. Cool ass design and wonderful character development. Setsuka's eye ability is extremely awesome! The fact that she's being a big sis and helping the characters really brings a lot of value for her character! Her relationship with Nikei and Hibiki is so wholesome! She's helping a lot to Nikei and trusting him. And the fact that she has a powerful impact on Hibiki is very cute.(even though it got her killed.) Shinji is obviously best man! He's willing to help people in the hardest time, literally the hope in Yuki's life, and he even committed seppuku so Yuki wouldn't have to be executed! I cried a lot when he die ;-; Finally, Iroha! (This is kinda a bias btw) She's sorta relatable to me though, being a whiny bubblehead who loves to draw (and yaoi). And her being a Void or Syobai's partner in crime just makes me love her even more! That's all, fuee~! (I didn't like the male cast as much of the first game though.)

[UDG spoilers below, just in case] Also Mikado is a damn good mastermind. The only one from the canon games that can compete with him to me is Monaca, who we know from the beginning is evil and shown to be the true leader of the WoH ever since ch1, despite Masaru being officially the leader. Personally if I was to rank canon Danganronpa masterminds. Spoilers for those who don’t know Junko (especially in Danganronpa 2 where here analytical prowess shines more than in the first game) Monaca (she’s great believe me. She’s creepy but I didn’t find her as entertaining and as threatening as Junko) Tsumugi (I get what the writers were going for but it doesn’t really work that well. She’s made to be boring and her as the mastermind didn’t make her any more interesting to me). However at her execution I like how they handled how she died. With her cons playing as Junko waving so happily only to immediately switch to her true self which looked so sad that the game had ended
I agree with EVERYTHING you said about the Otonokoji twins. Hibiki got the character development she needed (and I wish there was more) and Kanade, god where do I start with Kanade. She was a fantastic antag, she really made you feel the fear in chapter 3. I have never been more scared yet so interested in a character. To find out that this girl in a popular band is actually a serial killer with 60+ kills- idk man. I get judged and whatever but she made chapter 3 good, I have never been so confused in a trial until that happened. I wish she actually won the trial but plot! 😂
I can’t believe I didn’t see that you made a tierlist earlier! I agree with a lot of your points my dude. Also Syobai, I didn’t get to say this in my tierlist cause I was too hyped but my man has definitely been through some stuff regarding trust and just other people in general. That’s the only reason I can think of when it comes to him not interacting with anyone else, because he doesn’t want to be betrayed. He’s always reserved and has got a lock on his true feelings, trying to settle things as quickly as possible. And the character development at the end where he helps Yuki is just the chefs kiss. Absolutely amazing character.

Kokoro actually showed signs of alexithymia which is a personal trait characterized by an inability to identify and describe one's emotions. Not to mention but her biological parents basically gave up on her and tossed her into a foster care system. I guess this explains why she did what she did... but she’s still bad.

Second off, I'd like to recommend the tumblr blog, a student out of time, since it's a story about Hajime Hinata (SDR2) going back in time to before the events of DR3 and trying to fix everything while slowly gaining allies and meeting other time travelers. The story is good & decently far along with more still to come, includes the casts from all of the games (except DRV3) including DRA & SDRA2. Some of the major cast for the story includes a decent number of SDRA2 cast. I appreciate seeing your content about the fangames & I'll keep trying to drag my friends into the fangames so I can rec your vids to them.

I honestly would have liked that. But Nikei’s whole character is honestly better off with the fate that he got. Nikei had to fall one more time (pun intended).
Kanade was such a good antagonist and honestly was smarter than literally any other character, her intelligence stat is literally maxed out. Like she may have been the ultimate guitarist but she puts genocide Jill to shame to the point where she should have been the ultimate serial killer. She's a terrifying demon...she gave me more chills than a certain AA villain and that is hard. She honestly was smarter, more intimidating, more messed up, and all around more evil than the main big bad of the game...honestly...and she was a case 3 killer like dang... Linuj knows what they are doing
Not to mention we only know the killstreak she had as a teen we have to remember in the future she's already fully taken over hibuki and has probably committed mass murder by now and never been caught she was so good in fact that not even Mikado knew about it 😅 he was genuinely surprised that she was Satan in heals

I think I have an issue when it comes to incestuous serial killers, as I like both Kanade and Korekiyo. Not only that, they're almost my favorite character in their respective games.(Kiyo gets beat out by Ryoma and Kanade by Shinji and Syobai)
Aside the incestuous thing, Kanade is a fantastic character. Well written antag, her arguments were top notch. Also her being one of the smartest in the class really makes it even more interesting.
This is late but I think in my opinion that kanade didn’t love hibiki in that way instead in more of having her sisterly love and to have her depend on her also her planned changed from having her only love kanade to making her into a doll to control her I doubt Kanade wanted hibiki in the korekiyo way

Yuki is my favorite by far! I also love his relationship with Shinji, it makes me happy. And then my bias towards anyone with a lot of trauma. And yes, Shinji is not an excuse to that rule. Yuki's breakdown and trying to commit suicide was just amazing, for the realistic terms. Someone like him, an ordinary kid, going through this? He'd definitely fall apart, just like life. He's so realistic and it makes me happy, and he needs a hug.

Kanade was such a good antagonist and honestly was smarter than literally any other character, her intelligence stat is literally maxed out. I think I have an issue when it comes to incestuous serial killers, as I like both Kanade and Korekiyo. Not only that, they're almost my favorite character in their respective games.(Kiyo gets beat out by Ryoma and Kanade by Shinji and Syobai)

Aside the incestuous thing, Kanade is a fantastic character. Well written antag, her arguments were top notch. Also her being one of the smartest in the class really makes it even more interesting.
This is late but I think in my opinion that kanade didn’t love hibiki in that way instead in more of having her sisterly love and to have her depend on her also her planned changed from having her only love kanade to making her into a doll to control her I doubt Kanade wanted hibiki in the korekiyo way

Yuki is my favorite by far! I also love his relationship with Shinji, it makes me happy. And then my bias towards anyone with a lot of trauma. And yes, Shinji is not an excuse to that rule. Yuki's breakdown and trying to commit suicide was just amazing, for the realistic terms. Someone like him, an ordinary kid, going through this? He'd definitely fall apart, just like life. He's so realistic and it makes me happy, and he needs a hug.
