    The guy from Texas had always deep voice but tagging him would be a big crime while he sounded very hard.. screamed wild just a versatile singer with the quality along with music is crazy so I can only enjoy ❤❤❤

    THE SKIDS are one of the most underestimated bands of the 80ies area, either with Sebastian on vocals or any other one of the vocalists they had, they always kicked ass! I've seen them live a number of times over the years but I mostly loved the "W.R.D.A.- TOUR"....I also never met a funnier bunch of dudes and friendlier asp holders than they were!!!

    I got my fate back in the band thanks to the last eps by the band. Great hard rock songs. Buy everybody.

    Solinger has moments that almost border on a solid vocal delivery (kings of demolition). Then his vocals fall flat on (lets Go). Musically the band sounds more inspired all together thumbs up guys for delivering some entertaining music.

    I've seen SR several times with Bach and several without him, and Solinger does a respectable job on the Bach era stuff. No, he doesn't sound exactly like Bach, nobody can, Bach is a beast on vocals, but they sound great anyway. They usually open the show with Slave to the Grind and go right into something like Thick is the Skin, and by the time they slow down, most people have gotten over the fact that it's not Sebastian up there.
    And as far as someone wrote about Sebastian's band not sounding like Skid Row, not sure what was in the water at your show, but every time that I've seen him with the guys that he's had for the last few years, you cannot even tell that it's not SR on stage, they play everything, EXACTLY like SR does. He did have a lineup that sucked though, with Richie Scarlet on guitar (and sometimes bass). Saw them with this lineup and walked out, it was torture.
    Sebastian is coming back to our area in August, and you bet I'll be right there, but when Skids comes back, you can bet that I'll be right there to see them too. Would love to see them all reunite, but that ain't happening in this world, so gotta let it go.

    Hearing the news about Skid Row changing singers brought me to finally take a listen to the post-Bach era stuff, didn't care for either of the two albums much. This EP though, WOW!!! I am blown away by this piece of work!! But alas, this will now be an afterthought since they have moved to a new vocalist. Love this EP though!!! \m/

    Bach is Bach and Solinger is Solinger.. as long as Solinger doesn't sing the songs when Bach was in Skid Row, thats fine.. however i like this EP a little as it sounds more like Skid Row of old.. Kings of Demolition sounds like Chain Gang with a good delivery by Solinger..

    I have to say,I listened to ''Thickskin'' and was pretty disapointend,not because of the new singer but because they sounded like a poorman's Alice in Chains instead of Skid Row on that record.This actually sound's like Skid Row.

    The Songwriting is strong with this one. As in every Skid Row album. Maybe band a little eat its own tail but it's still satisfying. What is lost is the Voice and Drummer. Once Skid Row was unbelievably amazing and rocked the world. Now it's a decent band but nothing really special. Anyway I like these songs.

    Skid Row rocks with or without Bach, same as Bach rocks with or without Skid Row. People need to get over it and move on. Even the guys keep whining over it like they're still holding on to some weird mancrush.

    • @lowjamz828
      @lowjamz828 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I so agree. People get to hung up on who is or is not in a band anymore. Especially when its with whos fronting the band. Funny thing is knowbody seems to give a shit about original drummer Rob Afusso not being in the band anymore. A band is made up of more than one person, and is not just about the freakin frontman or woman. People need to live in the now. Go fucking listen to Sebastians solo stuff like I do. And live in the now.

      The two United World Rebellion EP's are great. Johnny Solinger made no bones about the fact that he was not Bach. He said that he didn't fill anyone's shoes but his own. I know they were planning Part 3 but it kept getting pushed back when Solinger and Tony Harnell left the band. They planned to make Part 3 a full-length album instead of an EP when ZP Theart was in the band but I think the idea has been scrapped since ZP left, unfortunately

      Holger Hahn I read what you said and still no

    • @rainingblood979
      @rainingblood979 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Holger Hahn I kinda agree, Bach's live performance is still great in terms of the show but his voice isn't as good as it used to be, as is expected from a life time of drinking and growing older. I think Johnny was great, he got way too much hate. He is actually a very talented singer and deserves more respect than he gets. Can't wait to hear what they do with Tony Harnell.

    the Music is the Best Efford since SubHuman... But sorry... Solinger is a great singer... and sometimes he really sounds like SB ... but something doesnt makes "click" ... is not 100% Skid Row...The music is there... but without the voice ... wont be Skid Row at 100% ... =/

  • @refndude
    @refndude 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think the lead vocals are a little flat, don't really like it much. Not saying he sucks, but it just doesn't do it for me, Bach just has so much more range.

    • @holgerhahn8615
      @holgerhahn8615 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Had!

    • @refndude
      @refndude 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Yeah, after listening to this I went and listened to some of Bach's latest stuff, man....talk about shock. His voice is fried.....too bad too, he had a great voice, but I guess he didn't take care of himself as he got older, or change alter his singing when his voice started to change (plus throw in drinking & drugs). But I still don't care much for Skid Row's new singer, IDK, maybe it's the music choices they've went with, it just doesn't do it for me. Too bad though... a once great lead singer loses a great voice & ends up being let go from Skid Row, and a once great band loses a great singer & is now struggling to find it's way, & struggling to redefine itself with a new front man & a new sound, that I'm finding hard to simply like.

    hey skidrow doesn't sound like they use to at all.sebastion bach is gone and has his own band .I would have to say sebastion bach is better than skidrow is today.because this shit sucks.goodbye skidrow rip.

      ***** hey, I'm not saying they're bad, they are good, I'm just saying the style of music isn't really the same for me, I repeat, FOR ME not for others, but for mr, so get over your hating on other people's opinions bullshit and accept some people are different to you

    • @ndirishfan1988
      @ndirishfan1988 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. If a band is exactly the same, with a different lead singer, they just don't sound like that band. However, if a frontman has a decent new group, that group with his vocal will sound more like the original band. A band with a replacement singer can still put out good music, but they are NOT the same band without the voice that made them recognizable.

    • @holgerhahn8615
      @holgerhahn8615 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bubba Petty But Bachs Band doesn´t sound anything like Skid Row when they play their old songs. Prove to me that Skid Row is NOT Sebastian Bach.

  • @bobbyrodriguez3224
    @bobbyrodriguez3224 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Don't blame the singers! Honestly, they both have talent. Truth is the band just straight up sucks! Sollinger should find another band so he can make a name for himself. Skid row should call it quits.

      Don't be a classless douchebag. Nobody said you had to stop masturbating to your Skid Row posters. Bobby merely stated that Solinger is a great vocalist and will never make a name for himself in Skid Row.

      Last I checked Sebastian Bach didn't write any of the songs from the albums he was on. Judging by this EP, Bolan and Sabo haven't lost their knack for writing a good song so what you say makes no sense. Therefore, all of you guys knocking this should refer to dion francis' comment because you're morons.
