Italian "Teacher" here - I really appreciated your video and I will probably start a new YT channel with only super short videos :) You're always inspiring for me. Thanks for your work.
I clicked on the video to find tips, but damn was I surprised to find my own channel on the list! Thank you so so much! I really apprechiate it and hope I can help even more people who are struggling with their German! And just two other things: - I've been uploading for about 6 months, now I'm close to 1000 subscribers, but 4000 watchhours... at least for me that's not so easy as it sounds in this video. Although I don't advertise my channel, you sure have to work for every single viewer. - And if any German speaker is around: I'm also open for collaborations! So feel free to contact me!
Thank you for talking about comprehensible input! I totally agree with what you say - CI is the most effective way to acquire a language! However, I disagree with one thing: I don't think it's easy and anyone can do it without any training! I had to learn so much when I started, and I'm still learning. I had to read a lot about theory and methodology. I had to learn how to make the input not only comprehensible, but optimal. I had to learn different techniques. I have to admit I put not only a lot of thought into my videos but also a lot of time, it's not so quick for me. Sed denove mi volas danki vin por disvastigi la scion pri la plej bona lernmetodo!
Hi Aaron! Great video :) What an interesting idea for a youtube channel. Just wanted to say that while the demand for languages like Klingon might be less, you would get some of the most committed language learners watching :) I personally would watch everything an Arabic or Turkish channel made!
You have inspired me and teach me a lot for a while now haha. I guess it's time to try out the TH-camr career. I'll post the link to my channel, it's going to be a Spanish course for beginners and intermediate learners, and the occasional post for advanced
I started to learn Spanish for a year now and I discovered comprehensible input by dreaming Spanish and Spanish After Hours, I progress a lot so I thought it's a good idea to start my own Arabic channel
It would be amazing to see a completed spreadsheet! I've been looking for something for Polish since I started 2 months ago, but the only channels I find are too English based or too intermediate for me. I still find them good resources and learn from them (Especially Super Easy Polish and Learn Polish Podcast with Kamila). I just would love to see something like this for Polish as well. I'm really curious what your opinion is on TL subtitles and whether people should include them on these teaching videos. (so English subs on teaching English, French subs on teaching French, etc). While I want to speak, reading and writing is an equally valuable skill to me. I also find knowing how a word is spelled also helps me pronounce it better. Comprehensible Thai does not have this, so I assume you do not feel they are as important or maybe not worth the effort (since adding subs can be a LOT of work).
I'm not Fingtam lmao, but I love having subtitles, even as an advanced-intermediate French speaker. I don't need them, but I like to download them and turn them into scripts, so I can memorize the video, and practice intonation + accent from a native speaker.
Do you have any advice on how to get onto language tutoring platforms? Sometimes when I look at some of them they seem all filled up or not accepting any more people. So it seems there must be some trick to get into the gate.
For Slovak there's this channel: th-cam.com/channels/UPgmAhUy6NkMxzRTmks55w.html For Dutch there's a video series called "Woord voor Woord" on YT I would also count Español con Juan for Spanish because he's very expressive. For Finnish, there's Jarp's Art: th-cam.com/channels/oDbIqejIAS9eZgYNzE2FCg.html I myself am trying to start one in English (although I've only put up two simple videos so far): th-cam.com/channels/5mv8PRK5quDMzuB_MGiSJQ.html
Here's a channel that is pretty good in Korean: th-cam.com/channels/r_Ed0X6CvMKSgRBiMz59tw.html When she first started uploading, she had an English intro in every video, as well as a "see you in the next video" in English as well. Now (thankfully) she's dropped the English. She's been experimenting with the format, and lately has added more interesting stuff with picture descriptions and short stories. She seems to be uploading consistently, as well.
Hi-Do you know if this channel still exists? I can’t copy and paste the link, but I wrote it down and typed it in - got a message saying the channel doesn’t exist. Do you happen to remember the name of the channel? Thank you~~
@@deborahlee7975 It looks like she deleted the channel, sorry. Have you found 태웅쌤, though? I found him after I posted this comment, and he's great. There's also a channel called ComprehensibleKorean, but I haven't checked it out.
@@kat7874 Thanks so much for the recommendation! I will check it out (and I subscribed so that I don’t lose track of it). I found “Learn Korean in Korean” last night ~ it also seems like it will be helpful. Are you still studying Korean?
When speaking fully in the native language, do you recommend that I put a list of the words that I used in the end of the video or should I just wait for someone to ask about something?
@@FingtamLanguages Yeah of course the main focus is on the video, but I meant beginners will find the new words in the end of the video. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for sharing! It took me 7 months to fulfill the criteria to apply for monetisation. (I didn't want to monetize thought.)
Im gonna subscribe to all of these channels just so they get some YT-money for their work.
not how yt money works, you should watch their videos/ads
With all these great hints and tips you'll get approx 200 subscribers and that would be it.

I might be pursuing this sort of thing for Frisian while I learn it, but it will have to bootstrap up from English into Frisian later.
When I'm bored this winter, maybe I will play around with Swedish. Maybe I'll give a tour of my Canadian village of just over 400 people.
Sounds like a great idea! :) Do you speak Swedish?
@@FingtamLanguages I'm been learning for just over 6 months, so it would be a stretch goal. A kinda 'put up or shut up' proof.
Ett lite bildeglimt does comprehensible Norwegian
(Edited because I can't spell)
I would suggest, Ayan Academy, (they read aloud those wonderful "nature institute" books) and ScorpioMartianus for Latin and Greek

I've considered doing something like this for Welsh. But with it being a minority language, i wasn't sure hope popular it would be
