Good video. I'm replacing an alternator on my 07 TL, it was a little tight to get the belt off but now I can't get it back on. The tension is pulled away full lock. Any advice how to proceed? Is that a sign of a bad tensioner?
Its usually easier if the last thing you slide over is a smooth pully . Its also easier if you can get some help and have someone pushing on the tensioner while you slide it on . With some cars you can remove the passenger side wheel and inner cover to gain more access to the belt pulleys.
8 PM Acura rl , helped a lot , Thanks
Awesome! Glad it helped.
You need to do a valve adjustment. Thats where your ticking noise is coming from.
Good to know. Thanks!
It's alive!
Yup! So happy it wasn't the power steering pump, I like cheap fixes.

That's a good question. Does it reset at all? It's possible the tensioner is tired.
