I love your energy and creative ideas! I feel like I need to start small and go back and re-watch this video to refresh on all the important details as my water feature evolves!
You are so hand-on! Can tell you know every water plants. Yes! Love your passion and enthusiasm towards nature. We have those in Asia. Thank You all the good advices!
This is the video I've been looking for a long time. You did an amazing job. Learnt a lot from your video. Thank you 🙏. Love and respect from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰.
Omg i have been searching for a video that explains more about the plants you can use in and around the pond like this for several days thankfully i came across this one and thank you so very much
What a wonderful presentation. I can’t wait to start a small water garden on my porch where I love to spend time reading and sewing. I live however in the mountains so realize I may need to do some adjustments in the winter with the snow situation.
learned LOTS ....now I know why stuff dies (water from the fountain, goldfish eating the roots, plants in pots TOO deep)....so next year i will promise to do better...I wish the Santa Clarita store had more to choose from and FISH would be wonderful !!!
2 things I’ve not seen in water feature/pond channels: mention of plants that might be a hazard or danger to pets and children, and, though I understand you have an interest in supporting nursery plants, but what about issues in collecting native wetland plants into a pond/planter. Things to be aware of before bringing in something from public land/roadside, etc. Thanks for your thoughts and comments!

Kathy, your ideas and expertise is amazing. I wish your shop was here in AZ
In New Mexico. Using a stainless steel watering trough. What would you suggest for plants?
More on tiny ponds please
I wish you I could order your pond plants to have sent to my home. It’s hard finding a nursery in California where I live that ships to my home.
Check out Megapond online
Anyone know if I could just put some water plants in a large bucket of water on the front porch or does it need to be flowing water?
You absolutely can. Your water will stagnate but rice fish or mosquito fish are the perfect addition to take care of any potential mosquito problems.
I just buy the 29 cent feeder goldfish for mosquito control. Works great every year.
I put the plants in you mention and originators do well but my pond is covered by the little leaves I think it duck weed.it grow within day of removal
Where is this Green Thumb nursery
Lake Forest, California
Wish you highlighted what's native and what's not.
E.g. the water lettuce is super invasive in southern US and not recommended.
The animated logo in the lower left is very distracting. Better to use a static logo.
