congress but not state governments. Which is why many state governments in early America had established churches. The separation of church and state was done mostly to avoid the religious wars that Europe went through.

The truth is it doesn’t matter what legacy we want to leave. We will leave a legacy. It will be interpreted by the future and the judgments that fall upon them.

So many in the church today seem to have forgotten our history. Many refuse to accept spiritual warfare. Some would even go so far as to leave the church rather than accept spiritual warfare as a reality. UNTIL we acknowledge that we are in a battle with the enemy of our soul, much like hand to hand combat in close quarters with someone who seeks to destroy us , we will be defeated in our spiritual walk. Thank you Pastor Allen for your timely messages. ❤

Wasn't it originally stated as separation of church from state? But any where you look it states separation of church and state! Big difference in the wording. that leads to the question, are those is high places purposely keeping the people out of anything worthy?

I think it is sometimes taken to the extreme, to where people think that the public sphere means "Religion-free zone," which contradicts the Free Exercise clause of the First Amendment.
The phrase "wall of separation" is much older than Jefferson's letter. Around 1640 Roger Williams, religious dissident and refugee from theocratic Puritan Massachusetts, wrote that "breaks in the wall separating the City of God from the Garden of Man make a wilderness of both."
James Madison wrote in support of "Separation of Religion from Government." As such, the government should give no special support to any particularly religious creed, while protecting Free Exercise. It's a thin line to tread.

Apparently this preacher doesn't know that the Bill of Rights (1791) supercedes a legislative decision made by a temporary government in 1777 prior to the U.S. Constitution.

When you read the books of the New Testament you have probably asked yourself many times: "Why is it that for 2000 years we have not seen the miracles that accompanied the Church of Christ in the first century as the New Testament describes them? Why is it that so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed, while atheists have the audacity to deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Church of Christ ceased to exist after the first century. There is no Church as it is described in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other Christian sects, claiming to be the Church, but not having that one thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic only for the Church of Christ - the backing of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mk 16:15-20). That is why part of the researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and part of them do not mind to declare Him a real person, but an ordinary philosopher, a teacher. But even if Jesus was an ordinary philosopher, His disciples would have been ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not have dared to write about the miracles that not only Jesus but also His disciples could perform. If in our time there were a Church as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed - healing the sick, prophesying, raising the dead - no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then all over the world there would be the same disputes as in the first century - Jesus is the Son of God or a false prophet who seduces the world with miracles.
Find on youtube the audio message *"The Mystery of the Church of Christ"*. It reveals the prophecy of the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the End of the World, giving hope to all who are sincerely seeking God and who are not lazy to think freely.
