Saw him play the Wales Millenium Centre in 2007. I've never been to gig where the whole audience was so transfixed and so blown away by the music and the musician. As soon as he spoke or played a note, it was just dead silence as everyone was just so in moment.
Just beyond magical, haunting, and BEAUTIFUL! How amazing are we humans that some of the very gifted ones can create a song like this out of nothing?! Pretty COOL!
First time hearing this man sing and this song sung by someone other than Tim Mcgraw. Haven’t seen this type of intensity and emotion when singing since watching the old MTV unplugged of Cobain singing “where did you sleep last night”. Beauty.
without a doubt, ryan adams is the is the bob dylan of our generation and so much more...he can actually sing...its impossible not to be moved by every performance he gives us. He has the gift of being able to convey all our thoughts into a perfectly balanced tune...thank you RA
+corrie Clarkson be has now, he's a favorite to many including ELTON JOHN. BUT he made his own way, through troubles and trials. AND many have taken his songs and kept his same tempo making billions off of Ryan. It took Bob Dylan the same road to make his way, same with James Taylor. From unknown songs, Taylor and Dylan both carry a presidential ribbon. I see that for Ryan someday down the road. It took Etta James a lifetime of blues, "f--- yous", determination to be herself, sing it her way, and even her passing, to make it to the "HALL" (BEYONCE SHOULD BE PROUD OF HER PORTRAYAL AND RENDITION OF ETTA). Ryan is going all the way, but I guess you know that by now.
Thank you for writing this beautiful song! And you sound so tender at heart. I first heard it with the Celtic Band, The Corrs... Andrea singing duet with Bono, though your version is just so beautiful and where it originates from the heart.. so thank you again, Ryan Adams!
Ryan and Neil were a magical combination. I love what Ryan is doing now but one day I hope these two will find a way to get together again and provide us with some more magic. I just feel they are right together.
Philip King is the man to thank for this, he got great artists to come to Dingle over the years. I'd have to say that Ryan was the best that I saw. A prolific songwriter and a wonderful talent. They blew me away that night.
A great, great, great singer and musician. When I worked as a DJ, I used to play "New York", "Roll and Rock" and, at the end of the night "La Cienega just smiles." I'm happy to have made him a little more famous in France.
Wow,just when I relised the world was spinnin to fast and that the handles were all brokin off, this kat brings ryt bak to were ya need ta be,so glad I started listenin
I have probably seen this song live four times. Every time Ryan Adams has toured Australia since 2007 anyway. It was only during the 2017 tour (?) that I realised what was a special song it is. A lot of his songs are like that though. They grow on you over time. Australia is a long way to travel and so we are bloody grateful that Ryan Adams has always made the effort to tour down under
When the Stars Go Blue Ryan Adams Dancin' where the stars go blue Dancin' where the evening fell Dancin' in your wooden shoes In a wedding gown Dancin' out on 7th Street Dancin' through the underground Dancin' little marionette Are you happy now? Where do you go when you're lonely Where do you go when you're blue Where do you go when you're lonely I'll follow you When the stars go blue Stars go blue Stars go blue Stars go blue Laughing with your pretty mouth Laughing with your broken eyes Laughing with your lover's tongue In a lullaby Where do you go when you're lonely Where do you go when you're blue Where do you go when you're lonely I'll follow you When the stars go blue The stars go blue, Stars go blue Stars go blue Stars go blue Stars go blue Stars go blue Stars go blue
My dear friend would send this song to me ❤ my friend died last year - listening to this song helps get thrthe pain of losing someone I loved very much ❤
ryan, whom I do do not know, but love, sings from the heart most always, because he sings with his eyes closed, and that's the proof. he aid one he didn't understand all the musician terminology for playing, to just pay and he'd jump in. that's a musician, a natural artist. to touch the hands that could do this would be a gift. to touch the face and fingers across his lips, would be a greatest gift to me...........I will never know you, but will always love you, my barefoot ryan. ......
my wife and i saw RA play this tune at Red Rocks in 2017, with the lights reflecting off the cliffs, as a full moon rose and we could see a huge thunderstorm off in the distance with the Denver skyline set off to the east. it was just an incredible experience. also, for those who say he doesn't have any known songs, he played mostly non-singles, and 12000+ in the audience sang them all word for word.amazing writer/singer and musician.
His time in Spain was well spent (lived there IIRC). He blends Spanish guitar motifs with American Folk then adds a bit of European Classical. Just brilliant. This album only sold ~800K worldwide. 80/20 Where are you?
9GodsMusic Actually? Ryan is very well known and respected in the music world. Not sure how many Grammy nominations but plenty. You just don't hear his tunes on the crap radio stations that only play the same 15 songs all day/night long...
Goodbye Neal. Your work with Cardinals will forever be soundtrack to my life. See you on the other side
True shocker. Sad day...
🤨
Wow, hadn't heard about his suicide until just now when I read your comment and looked him up. Very sad and only 50 years old. RIP Neal.
I'm just hearing this now myself. This is desperate. Wtf is going on. God love him.
Why?
Too beautiful for words - send it throughout the universe - it is as worthy as the finest galactic brilliance.
One of the most beautiful ballads of all time! Gives me goosebumps listening to him sing this!
Saw Ryan Adams at Red Rocks in the second row! It was the best concert I have ever seen!! Still have the poster from the event framed in place!
An example of the most underrated artist of the century.
unbelievably beautiful, haunting, it gets inside you and doesn't leave. Thank you Ryan.
I'm so happy the Corrs introduced me to this genius artist
He is just one of the greatest singer songwriters ever. Depth of his lyrics spins my head and heart.
My lyrics…great arrangement
This isn't his. Loads of covers of this very well known song.
From what I understand he is the lyricist.
@@lelehart3 Tim magraw covered it, the Corrs and Bono ..and Ryan Adams released it first…HOWEVER, I WROTE THE STORYLINE
@@stephanieholland3934 you’re guessing
Simply amazing! These two drop me to my knees with this song. R.i p Neal.
I saw Ryan Adams live and I was 6 months pregnant. I cried uncontrollably the entire time
Hormones? 😂
Why?
He's good, but I fail to see what brought you to such emotion
Saw him play the Wales Millenium Centre in 2007. I've never been to gig where the whole audience was so transfixed and so blown away by the music and the musician. As soon as he spoke or played a note, it was just dead silence as everyone was just so in moment.
One of the most underrated artist .Always a fan of you Ryan . You’re phenomenal 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Just beyond magical, haunting, and BEAUTIFUL! How amazing are we humans that some of the very gifted ones can create a song like this out of nothing?! Pretty COOL!
What do you imagine to be “created from nothing”..?
First time hearing this man sing and this song sung by someone other than Tim Mcgraw. Haven’t seen this type of intensity and emotion when singing since watching the old MTV unplugged of Cobain singing “where did you sleep last night”. Beauty.
Ryan wrote it.
Paul Young does a nice version also.

well said sir
HES BETTER THAN BOB DYLAN...
Bob Dylan moved and influenced a generation of people.. Not sure he does that.. But he is still great..
Why does something always have to say he is the next Bob Dylan, Buck Owens, Neil Young, or whoever? He is the first Ryan Adams!
+corrie Clarkson be has now, he's a favorite to many including ELTON JOHN.

Yeah I agree. Can I add you on Ig,
Great song and very well done. Thank you!

I liked it by Bono and the Corrs very much as well. They really felt the song.
Ryan and Neil were a magical combination. I love what Ryan is doing now but one day I hope these two will find a way to get together again and provide us with some more magic. I just feel they are right together.
+John Washington why ryan does not unite with Neil Young yet? What he is waiting for? 2 of my favorites
A great shame that it can no longer happen.
Whenever I feel blue and I listen to Ryan Adams it helps me to come back to life. His Music is Magic.
Philip King is the man to thank for this, he got great artists to come to Dingle over the years.

This guy is awesome. He had my heart right away 💓!

In English please.
...you said what now?
Ryan adams has some really good songs. I'm suspecting his lack of more popularity is only because of a lack of him never selling out much.
What an amazing voice.
Amazing!!! So beautiful.

GOD I love this better then tim's version- so full of SOUL!! delicate and full!!
It's because it's his song, so I'm sure that has alot to do with it.
Ryan's is better 1. he wrote it. 2. his is more raw and powerful
